  1. Yeh I understand this, but Im tipping clutch issue in some sense. He replaced the old one for a reason.. Then bam, new clutch/new problem. The whole shudder and then come good a few seconds later is same as mine. Feels like trac control at rear of car coming on and off under boost in 3rd gear and up
  2. Yeh Ratter, I remember you diagnosed mine that time. Just sounds all too familiar to be anything else and when he says "ever since I changed clutch on the weekend".....
  3. Not sure why ppl say the clutch theory is "100% wrong" because that will be exactly what it is.. LOAD POINTS!! My bf manual did the exact same thing when I replaced the clutch after its dyno tune Youll need it retuned on new clutch and problem solved buddy. I have an old thread with same heading if you find it in my passed topics.
  4. ^^^^ A mate of mine had rotalla's on his silvia and the quality was so bad in the wet, not to mention they didn't even smoke up. . Not made of rubber that's for sure!!
  5. would very much LOVE to be next to u in a NA territory/falcon and see a manual turbo/v8 try get in front to say 60kms. No chance PS: my previous comment was agreeing with u with anything haha have a read next time before seeing just an opportunity to lay sh*t on someone. cheers
  6. yeh good one princess....I knew a girl like u in school once who attacked anyone and everyone to get on her high horse.. no one liked her very much. cheers
  7. Alter heading to 'princess vs winstor'.... If I was the op and had the money for a 2nd car it would be an SS wagon or fg xr8. Go for it in my experience with manual V8s and manual turbos... u tend to get your ass handed to u from a standing start versus any old mom in an NA auto for the first gear atleast! I dont creep down "left lane ends" lanes at traffic light anymore just to save the embarrassment lol... that's my take on the bickering
  8. Started it at Coles carpark...It did a god almighty uncle buck backfire and made every duck for cover! Then stalled. Started it & popped skids on exit
  9. I had an S15 Rspec a couple of cars ago and loved it mate!! Theose blacktop SR20's are bullet proof and REALLY good on fuel.. I was getting 600kms a tank giving it hell. Like your 32 as well
  10. I had a dodgy thermostat that wasn't opening up and from memory it had similar symptoms to yours and was boiling the coolant bottle out the lid.. Replaced thermostat and has been perfect ever since mate
  11. I'm assuming yours is a BF1 and As a comparison, My BF1 has 155,000kms with 382rwkw on stock unopened engine mate. I do however believe mine got the BF mkII upgrade internals... I'm having no issues with it in those regards, it seems to be happy in the 300's. I also do not drive Miss Daisy around... It gets a good work out. If you're happy with say 350 power mark, it will go all day with a safe tune "IMO"
  12. Can a dodgy TPS make the car temperamental if say you turn it off after a long drive and then try restart a few secs later?? My car hates hot starts... cranks alot longer and sometimes coughs, backfires and stalls. Cheers
  13. I just reversed the adjuster by how much I loosened it to get rotor off.. I have slight drag sound when I turn them by hand. Hopefully this is basically what you suggested I do lol... Hand brake feels basically the same as it did preciously. Cheers again mate, you're a good man!!
  14. omfg things are about to launch...thanks for technical tip Bionic! and Jacob lol yes lets just say this old rotor is no good to anyone due to smacking flat head screw driver right? and what did u mean by need a hammer for RHS"?? Success. What a trap that hand brake adjuster is! my tutorial I found on another forum did not mention it at all.. Thanks heaps
  15. ok so, I can get the rotor fairly loose and almost hanging off hub shaft.. but when I look down the back of the rotor where I have made a gap, I can see these this rod pieces of metal like a fork hanging onto the rotor.... what the hell is going on here!!?? I swear these small rod things are stopping it sliding off
  16. Hey, as topic says I am having issues getting the rear rotor off. I have the handbrake in off position, caliper up out of the way and bashing the hub part of disc with a mallet! No good... any tips?? just keep swinging while turning it or am I missing something?? Cheers, Josh
  17. someone else will prob fill you in, but I will check my factory coils tomorrow and let you know if they are visteon.. Doesn't sound familiar to me though
  18. what did I do to my car today hmmm well...My sender wire for oil pressure gauge was snapped off @ sender.. attempted to fix, but now it reads 100+ off the dial! Had to unscrew sender from block, pissed oil all over the place in process... ffs. PS: where's the dislike button for above post lol.. going back to stock must feel horrible
  19. This poor guy would be having nightmares over his bottom end after all these comments lol... he needs more to go wrong than simpley being a BA.. detonation, bad tune etc. it will go fine at 300-350kw on bottom end if kept healthy
  20. Just lost 10 mins of black ops 2 time reading this rubbish thread lol... ^^Enhance...enhance...enhance^^
  21. If you also do not find your money on tree branches, I'd just go 4" dump with a high flow cat... Full exhausts are not necessary imo. The dual factory system flows fine for atleast 350rwkw with or without replacing centre muffler with hotdogs.
  22. Got some goodies turn up over last couple weeks and today! Car is still for sale & I will just keep these parts if it does sell. Will get a BF Foon in a couple years... But if not, then I'll chuck them all on the XR late next year after wedding. Full batter to boot relo kit Plazmaman valve springs Custom surge tank with 044 And today my GT4094r turned up Took a nice snap shot of the turbo and surge sitting in engine bay
  23. I'm from Wollongong area mate and I found Macarthur Ford on Blaxland RD is awesome for new spare parts. ask for their best price over the phone for coils and or plugs and you'll get a good deal. its a good 40mins each way however
  24. weird.. what about your bf Bionic, have you checked it recently? the bloke who ordered my car new played alot of golf. maybe he had wet shoes alot... I can't explain mine otherwise
  25. What a pain in the ass problem & to have it start after leaving Ford dealership is a sh!tgo... earlier this year I was taking my car for a berl up Mac Pass, but at the very bottom I lost the speedo & the car was hitting boost cut way to early at like 3500rpm every gear. Turned it off at the top, started it, never had a problem since! I wouldn't have let Ford get away with giving you the cold shoulder mate. They were the last people to play with the computer before all this! Goodluck with it
