Fg has notoriously noisy head unit. I had to put a high end sound processor in mine to get rid of the noise. There is still a faint noise there now, but the money it costs to fix it has outweighed the annoyance it gives me everyday

Don't go through ford. Get a shop that deals with zf's to do the job. Budget between $3500-$5000 for a rebuilt box with extra clutch packs and a strengthened input shaft.

Really? My diff is getting done on Wednesday and the guy said that there are 3.23s in stock and he can get them. I might give him a ring and make sure he can in fact get them

A truetrac is a truetrac as far as I'm aware. They are on special at around $1200 at the moment. There was no mention of different types when I ordered mine just last week. It's an expensive exercise once you allow $500~ for the gear set, and new bearings if needed. The real cost is in labour though, so don't skimp too much as the cradle might be out again in the near future if luck isn't on your side.

You did the axles when the driveshaft was done? Or are you referring to axles and driveshaft as the same thing

for anyone wanting one, it is an m86 for g6et/xr6t. it is the same diff, just the g6et has an open centre. got sent the wrong diff for my g6et the other day. eagerly waiting on the right diff to get here

18 pound out of the small turbo would be creating really hot air. I would imagine that its way out of its efficiency rating at 18 pound. Maybe that's why it feels sluggish?
