Obviously check for simple stuff like earthing in your coil looms. Could also be a sign of coil drivers in your PCM getting old.

Does it do it more often as you back off throttle? Even if doing 100kmh but just lightly get off. Then try get back on?

So it throws codes for ignition coil circuits when it starts missing?

Feel for you here! You've had the fu..ck around that's for sure !! And I'm not convinced they know what the issues are yet. If they truly thought the PCM was to blame, they could've bought a second hand one in working order for half that of the eboost setup. I believe they are trying to mask another issue with the eboost. But I don't know that for sure. Good luck mate! Hope it's resolved soon!

These boys are correct. Housings split due to pressure.

The car will start and drive with e85 in it. It won't be pretty or ideal. But the car will drive.

Not using the factory ZF oil could be why you have this long term damage. These boxes are sensitive to oil changes due to differences in temps and pressures. Even more so when using aftermarket trans coolers. Factory oil is by far the best and any external trans cooler needs to be run in series with the factory style heat exchanger (however upgrade the heat exchanger to a stronger unit) and fittings and lines need to be the same diameter as factory. To answer your question, the shorter gears may help the box a little. But if the damage is done, death is still enevitable.

Good pick up PH1LLO ! Not many people care to investigate this point. In my opinion is will affect box operation ever so slightly. Will the driver notice it ? Probably not. Will it shorten the life of the box? Maybe... But by how much is anyone's guess and pulling apart two high km boxes for comparison would be about the only way to begin to get an idea. But my opinion is pressures under certain conditions will be different to factory with all the aftermarket lines and fittings being a different size to factory. These boxes are super sensitive to pressure changes at different temps. So it's definitely something to keep in mind.

How many km has the car done? How many times has the gearbox been serviced ? What oil was used?
