  1. high flow cat and NO tune = overboost!
  2. you should not have oil leaking from the VCT sensor
  3. usually you want stiff fronts and a semi stiff rear as a combo.
  4. Why a solid firm centre and stock sides now? That is the opposite to what you actually want for longevity with a bit of power. Surprised you haven't had a bolt snap with that setup! Don't think that "pre load" theory is correct either... first I've heard of that!
  5. Personally, I wouldn't cut more than the first section off. Definitely don't remove them.
  6. KAAZ no good for a street car. Go with the truetrac.
  7. at idle? or under load? At idle, on the gauge, its extremely steady. Never watched it under load, but lambda is steady under load.
  8. to be honest...no
  9. Im running twin DW350 pumps on my surge tank, FPR2000, standard rail, and no mods to return size at all. Can set base pressure well below standard.
  10. id be putting everything back to stock so you know where your at. All parts and tune.
  11. so you have a 15psi tune with standard injectors and pump? ouch!!! that's not a good thing! valve springs if not done will be an issue at that level too.
  12. I can this car throwing a leg out sooner rather than later....
  13. could be many things... sounds like you might have a valve spring issue in there as well though... however, what fuel system is this car supposed to have? what injectors? what pump? do you have a boost gauge? what boost is it hitting? what boost was it tuned for?
  14. will be revised part
  15. factor about 800-1000 bucks for a good tune
  16. p0171 - system lean bank 1 p0238 - turbo boost circuit high input p2105 - throttle actuator control system, forced engine shut down p2110 - throttle actuator control system, forced limited rpm
  17. ford coils in ford bags. if not in the ford genuine parts bags, stay away!
  18. if fuel pressure remains the same and your car wasn't previously tuned trying to band aid a poor fuel system, then this system shouldn't need a retune. However, id recommend getting it on a dyno just incase.
  19. they are known to produce false oil warnings. you need to get a pressure gauge on there and check what pressure its actually got.
  20. See this all the time with aftermarket bearings .Especially the sh*tty repco ones. Make sure your box to centre bearing, and centre bearing to diff angles are where they are meant to be using a dial indicator. Obviously make sure weights are where they need to be and splines were matched. Finally, you can get a balance done, but choose a ford dealer you feel confident with. Or there is a company in North Melbourne who can do it from memory.
  21. your pinging problem will cost you more than a fresh tune if you leave it unchecked.
  22. could be many things. who ever tuned it should have found the issue first BEFORE doing a custom tune. I would take it back, put the factory tune in it, then start looking for the cause of the pinging if that's what it is. which state are you in?
  23. ....as silly as it sounds, ive seen feedback from 1 or more bad coils cause this before. also seen non-resistor style spark plugs cause the same thing. just a thought....
  24. how old is your battery?
  25. theres a lot of variables in this. what mods has the car got? poor injector scaling or incorrect fuel pressure can throw the figures out for example.
