Momo Wheel Wearing
I had my red 04 wheel AND shifter replaced under warranty only a few months ago now.... Odd really I had the red Momo on my old EL for 4 yrs and never a sign of the colour wearing....

Salary Sacarifice
And you actually have to have your employer co-operate.... My issue has always been my employer WONT support me claiming the exemption, too hard basket for them. Even though my 25000kms a year is PURELY work and back...my car is in the garage at home and never moves (Terri family transport). And yeah, my understanding is my occupation is irrelevant. Like beating your head against a wall really....

How Much For Used Xr6t?
Dont mean to dilute the topic but Im strongly considering parting with my T. Well I have been anyway on the assumption I'd struggle for price to switch to something new/cheaper/more econ....(my cars a commuter unfortunately and sometimes the T just doesnt make sense to me)... I dont want to distract from the original posters question but if anyone could comment on my possible resale within this thread that'd be cool, though its more for interest now (I think).... 04 BA Mk1 T auto (Sep 04) 47000kms lightning strike, luxury pack, rear sensors, SL/SSL Kings, FR19 Simmons, center muff replaced by dogs, bigger cat, wog cooler, F6 intake, flasher, FPV wheel Shes had a quiet life, 25000 in her first two years and I've piled almost 25000 country kms on her in the last 12 months, hate watching that clock go up... If someone walked up now at the price I'd probably be weak but Im not TRYING to sell her, shes growing on me bigtime

What Is My T Woth Realistically
We did exactly that with my wifes 05 WRX when we were buying her Terri....dealer actually offered a good trade AND sharp pricing (wonders will never cease), but HE offered the out clause and we ended up using it for a 2K advantage. Win/win.

Which Would You Choose?
Steffche I recall your screen name from someplace but I wont guess where... Anyways...my last car was a VX SS with head/cam big single system blah blah...sounded pure horn and had close to 300rwkw.... My T I've had for 12months and I MISS the sound, but I LOVE the low-mid range of these cars EVEN WITH JUST A TUNE. Torque is a magnificent thing. My SS hammered 3K and above..but this thing just does it so easy and without fuss and thunder from way lower than that with heaps less dyno grunt.... I love the sound of the B series XR8's driving past though.... You'll never make a 100% right decision, assemble your own priority list carefully and go from there.

Car Bra On Xr6t?
As per above I've used car bra's for years (live on the edge of the city and travel a fair few country miles). I occasionally take the temptation to remove the bra (mines black and bloody ugly on my lightning strike BA) but usually live to regret it. Roads can be whatever they like but one truck dumping crap on the road or any car throwing sh*te up in front of you and you've got chip potential....its WELL worth it if you're going to regularly use it. One trip I'd be tempted to borrow one or the like. Also as per above I bought mine virtually new off a AFF member. Everybody wants one, but many end up in the shed gathering dust. Mines Car-Bra brand...they all have been and they dont mark up my paint providing as per above its polished and clean prior to putting it on... Headlights CAN mark up a bit...but if you dont use the bra often a bit of clear plastic cleaner can help out...

Centre Muffler Removal: Sound, Legality & Results
I went to ET in the city as suggested and was 200 bananas inc dual dogs. End result of the dogs they're pretty quiet generally, but noticeably non stock. A bit louder at idle, got a decent sound on accel and a bit of a bark on hard decel... No drone at all. All up the result I wanted, not over the top but if you really want agro sound leave the dogs out

Just Got Edited...
I thought Mk1s had fairly consistent issues with springs and MK2's were better???? $800 with a retune sounds pretty ok though.... BUT...does it look odd that when 'old' peak power is reached it starts to fluctuate on the 'new' curve? Its almost smack on the same power...second opinion from another tuner dude...

Diy Tuning?
Little to be gained except a rod out the block?

Bathurst, The Good Ol Days
I wasnt outraged the turbos were winning, I was outraged that I was watching my favorite race (its the only race I PLAN to watch every year rain hail sleet or snow..well in the loungeroom) being diced by a bunch of cars I had no interest in.... The whole Ford / Expensive Daewoo rivalry thing is what makes it tick....and balanced competition. Even when the Sierras won races it wasnt the same.... Im perfectly happy with the way it is though I'd like to see a rise in 'off the showroom floor' racing like we used to have with decent coverage and talented drivers, not where the money is though :( How about a FPV/HSV showroom category, get on it!

Some Holden Owners Know A Real Car When They See It
As an ex inhabitant of ls1 I never heard anything but praise from 'normal' enthusiasts. It was normally with new kiddies with no idea who bagged the T's, or tuners trying to sell upgrades to T/F6 owners who lurk there. Most accept a great car for what it is regardless of the side of the fence it is on. SC though surprises me, I thought they were all kiddies over yonder

Intercooler Decision
Id love to and that stage 1 cooler is super sexy, but Im deliberately capping my costs, just want a bit more spunk and consistent, hence my choice of the wogcooler...... >>>> Reading this it is possible to center the wog cooler by bending the air con line. But does it take anything else? Do you have to drill new holes for the brackets or is it a bend job or make new brackets or..... ??? Any help appreciated That said I havent bought one yet so if anyone wants to flog me a slot in replacement cooler Im listening Has to be in wogcooler price range though... >>>>

Federal Budet 07
Id vote for anybody that'd get the relative price of housing down in the next 10-20 yrs so my kids dont have to live in boxes or tents. Gee, more grants? Gee, bigger loans? Where is all the money going.....somebody is having a great time and its not the younger generation. Id vote for anybody that'd put some life back into the public school system, the chasm between the public schools and private we've seen is ridiculous...teachers laughing at their facilities and making excuses for them. Id vote for anybody that makes higher education more attainable without signing your ass over.... A few basic things we used to have are just plain GONE. Unless of course you want to mortgage your life away financially...... I have no answers...I just wish what we are offering our kids was a better place to live than it currently is....

Iridiums Cheap And Changing Plugs
Actually after 45000kms I was surprised how good nick the originals were in. You mean the LPG plugs? Are they Iridiums? Talking about plugs that arent 1.1 gap...couldnt be buggered regapping. Or changing them myself in future! Does NGK make the Motorcraft for them? Dont trust any manufacturer in this country these days....hence I chose not to buy the Moto plugs

For anyones interest I got a set of the Subaru Iridiums today at Repco for $15.50 each, nice price. Anyway...can someone shoot me if I ever decide to change my own plugs again? Cant say I've changed plugs in a modern 6 before and I aint doin it again. But it was fun getting to know the plumbing under the hood I guess.....
