  1. Dunno is there are any other differences but the top section (10-2) is smooth on the FPV wheel, on the sports wheel its perforated. Minor difference.
  2. I know its splitting hairs but out of curiosity does that mean they both now have the smooth leather top section like the previous '5 cented' FPV wheel? Or have they both gone to perforated?
  3. Thanks mate, that's just straight pipes? Do you get drone?
  4. In the mood to do the straight pipe or twin hotdog thing to my centre section.... Any pointers for someone in Adelaide who'll do it for the right price and not try to sell me a full catback and tell me 'its too noisy' stories like the three places I've rung already, and preferably in the western burbs or close by... Or if anyone has a section sitting around....I know Vik did once and I wish I'd picked up his dogs when they were on offer.
  5. Man in my shopping experiences you'd be in the high end of that km range with that price range. Otherwise they'll be advertising them as low km specials The standard brakes are crap even day to day, they dont inspire you with confidence. My missus' Territory stops solidly next to my BA. You might be waiting to find premium brakes though....save a couple of bucks or get a few bucks extra on the loan and fit late model brakes and focus on the other options IMHO. PS did anyone mention the standard brakes are crap
  6. That picture sucks.... Oddly the real photos of these things I've seen look ok. Wouldnt blow my cookies over it but not offensive like it looks above.

Limited range of handsets indeed. We've taken on a Jasjam and a couple of the LG handsets. Im a 'LS' (life sucks) type of character, with a real aversion to Goldstar products. BUT that said, I actually really like the handset. Not overly expensive, with all the features. Light, compact flip phone. Worth a look if you go do that way.. Havent had any issues with the things yet, but we've only had them a week. Coverage appears good. Data rates are great for mobile content, but havent had a chance to try the modem facility yet.
  8. My tint installer asked me specifically if I listen to AM....good to go the metallic tint as I dont.... So yeah, FM ok, AM not so OK
  9. Never done a strictly country cruise in my BA T yet but I see 10.8 on the trip puter as my average. Actual is 10.6 measured, week in, week out. that's on Shell 95 crud. Switching to BP Ultimate again in the next week and try that for a few weeks.
  10. The LS1 is awesome with the single turbo on it, never mind the twins (after a intestinal cleansing experience in Tunas old ute). The torque they make is stunning and instant... I really hope we're all talking about being quicker on the track though, as far as I can see most heavily modded 6T's or Phoons or LS1's etc are ALL unable to put it down to the tarmac in day to day driving (Im not saying they cant be driven daily, just the power is almost too on/off)...Im not sure at what point a car goes from a high powered street car to an out and out weapon but many are wayyyy past that point.
  11. You must have been there on a good day. Have you seen the thread, How to make a VTII SS as good as a Typhoon? ← That thread has turned into a dogs breakfast. As many positive comments as negatives though....every forum has its tossers and ls1 isnt immune. Started out interesting anyway....
  12. Cheap and nasty? Not in my opinion. I used to run Wanli S1099 tyres on my SS in 235/40/18, cost me well under $200 a corner and whilst not the ultimate performer they were quiet and gripped pretty well and wore well. Commuter they do ok, but I wouldnt track the suckers. I used to run SP9000's on my old EL XR in 17's. Having them now on my BA I remember ALL the reasons as to why I wont replace them with 9000's every time I hear that noise....
  13. Can we clarify is that FLYwheel kw or FRONTwheel kw? I cant imagine 200kw thru the fronts!
  14. You guys are such a bunch of cynics. Its worth EVERY dollar of the $5.50 its currently at.
  15. see I cant stand leather seats... I know they are more valuable but just dont find them that comfortable... I wonder if they can make the ghia without leather seats and drop the price accordingly? or otherwise if they can make the povo pack with premium sound setup?? (that's all I really want. I took the povo pack for a drive yesterday and was more then impressed! ← NCO on the standard Ghia (gee we'll remove value but you dont get no money back sir), but no mention of on Terri Ghia T. We went through similar thoughts when buying our TS.
  16. Closed means exactly that...still exists but not in use. Who knows, the day may come yet.... Anything happened with the Riverland strip, if anything?
  17. PUUURRRRRRRR...number one choice If I had a farkin choice.
  18. I read that article from Whiteline but it keeps leaving me with ... if you're going to replace the back dampers why not replace the fronts at the same time for consistency of spring/damper response....which adds up. What I havent found on reading these forums is a good recommender yet....as my cars a commuter essentially I'd like to tighten her up but not to the tune of Koni/Bilstein etc.....I'd like something low-mid range and affordable I can replace without pain. Anyone? I've got my 27mm bar being fitted next week so if I can get something in mind would make some sense to have one visit to the fitting joint
  19. I'm always prepared to see some automatic defensiveness on any Ford or Expensive Daewoo forum for their product....and thought that until I watched the vid. BUT...what a total load of amateurish crap. Is that the level that Drive operates at? And agree with the above....'high range' Bogan special against an assumedly unoptioned XR8 when the Bogan special has no direct model to compete against isnt quite fair when commenting on interiors. But that 'pink hot' dash really looks Lady Penelope to me.
  20. Havent tried 91, but going from 98 to 95 I drop up to 50kms out of a tank (in my country/city driving mix). At least 5L to go 50km's, which mostly outweighs the additional cost of the 98. Dunno what she'd do on 91, but just doing the 98 to 95 move shes noticeably less responsive on the throttle and just a whole lot smoother on 98. And shes stock as a rock.
  21. Agreed, his stuff is great. Good fit, heavy mesh, good finish. This bloke: http://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d...d=themeshman260

I love threads like this, usually turn into a sh*tefight on most forums. Glad this place is less 'serious' than many Anyways, two missing options were 'love cats, dont mind dogs' and the reverse. I dont love dogs, at least the ones I've got. Two dogs from my wifes previous relationship (though Ive been with her 8 yrs now). They're just not my dogs, perhaps when they're gone and I get one that's OURS things will be different. I like cats, but as I get more KIDS I start to find them annoying as they're time demanding and I cant split time b/w kids and cats and dogs and rabbits and birds that easily. We got 6 cats, all properly corralled and taught (kick the crap out of them, ok that's a bit harsh, but teach them no birdies and stuff), that do a great job keeping the mouse population associated with the aviary down. One cream point persian, one himalayan, one persian/chinchilla cross, one Maine Coon, two moggies. 2 doggies, a dalmation and a fat overeating lab. 5 rabbits in three sep cages after we learned the breeding experience with the suckers, aviary full of budgies, cockatiels, quails, lovebirds (divided cages).... Used to have mobs of guinea cops too but difficult to keep when shelter is limited. I know some people LOVE dogs HATE cats, but dont cross the line and start talking about panadol and sh*te and I rarely get fired up.
  23. I can understand how they can give you the outputs required and some control over levels and crossovers etc... Everything still all depends on the output stages of the factory HU though IMHO. Taking the sound out of the headunit anywhere past the digital stage is going to yield the sound of the headunit, not the sound of any following piece of equipment without artificial massaging/EQ/DSP etc... Be interested to see how successful it is in 'changing' what you hear
  24. Car A tuned with the box.....Car B cant use the box until Car A is restored to factory tune and then box can be unlocked for Car B to use it (one car at a time only) I wish this WASNT the case then we could tune the T and the Terri!
  25. China..... We have two offices there that sell our stuff (we're a U.S. company primarily). But we have a large Aussie product range (retail stuff). Among these is product 'X' which we've been moving for some time here as its quite high quality, but in other areas (commercial primarily), and we've recently been moving in retail but slowly. For many years with other product we've produced 'home brand' type stuff..that'll become relevant in a moment. Anyway, someone in our retail group decided we'd get a variant of product 'X' from China and undercut the crap out of competing products through some major retail outlets. Sold up a storm. And then some competitors do the same thing. But next thing we hear our biggest customer is opening a buying office in China. So where do you think they might get their own variant of product 'X'? All in all we move in, make a quick kill which is great, change the market (which is inevitable someone was going to do anyway), but in the end likely damage our own business by diluting it with the cheap Chinese product (the longevity of which is making us work harder on tracking warranty than ever before). Why dont we all just bend over now and get ready for the knackering knife?
