  6. Took the T for a drive last week and couldn't believe what happened! Driving up a straight stretch of road, I put the foot down and it dropped back to second, climbing to around 5000rpm, past that point it seemed to be limited by something and wouldn't push any further (I wont even try to overtake). At that same time I look in the rear vision mirror to see a huge cloud of smoke/exhaust out the back. I done this again in performance mode with the same results. The car is fine at normal driving speeds/gear changes. I thought it may have been the fuel so I reprorammed it to the 95Oct Tune with the same outcome again Car has been 'mildly' tuned by Elite! Could it possibly be the Catalytic Converter?
  7. Yeah I know whats next - Exhaust, Valve Springs, Injectors, Intercooler and Induction, should see 300+
  8. Mine went from 185rwkw to 228rwkw just the other day up at Elite. Completely stock 4sp Auto. Cheers Dean
  9. I thought the same thing, considering other unmodified cars are tuned to same boost levels with similar AFR's, how can there be such huge variations? I am happy with the outcome though, taking into account the car ran a max output of 185rwkw before the tune - a 43rwkw or a 25% gain. Not too bad for a stock car! Any thoughts! Dean
  10. Have just had my car tuned by Elite and finished with a result of 228.4rwkw at 9psi boost. Torque increased by around 100Nm, AFR's are good. Drove home at 2am today from Brisbane in the wet so I didn't push it too hard, boost hits 9psi at 2500rpm and continues to pull hard through to 5500rpm where boost levels out to about 7psi. Any comments on this result or suggestions on mods to increase power in the future? Just remember car is completely stock at the moment apart from the Custom Tune! Cheers Dean
  11. Im goin' with a guess of 234rwkw (easy to type), hope to be more though. Cant wait to drive it home tomorrow, I think I'll take it easy though! maybe! - nah full throttle all the way home - too quick for the cops to keep up. I think since I put the stripes on I've gained extra grunt - or was it the wheels!!! Cheers Dean
  12. What percentage gains (Iknow its hard to estimate) should I get after fitting CAI and Injectors compared to just a standard custom tune with no other modifications. It seems wise to have everything modified just before the custom tune is loaded but realistically, what mods would be best suited to a standard T before custom tuning? Yeah gets alot of attention, for the wrong reasons sometimes. Had the car parked at work and some aSShoLe keyed the whole drivers side down to bare metal Dean
  13. As the title suggests, my car has been booked in for Friday to get Custom Tune done. I have searched the forums for information on Injectors and Custom Tunes but have came up with info other than required. I want to know if it is advisable to get the injectors changed whilst the car is there being tuned or leave the factory bosch ones in? What injectors should I get if needed, Bosch or Siemens and how much are they? Will this gain extra Kw's or should I do this change after IC, CAI, Exhaust is done? Car is completely standard with no modifications - as yet! Thanks Dean
  14. The bonnet will need to be sprayed Blueprint. Its currently a raw steel bonnet!
  15. Wanted to know if anyone had a fair idea on cost for a spray of a raw, unprimed steel bonnet? In Blueprint! Thanks Dean
