  1. Yeah henz, his is hard to start but he lets it warm up for 5mins before driving. Usually takes about 20-30secs to get started. Have others noticed that on e85,the exhaust blows out condensation/steam for longer?
  2. haha, few extra cranks??? Apparantely these cold mornings have made one I know of,a *beep* to start. And if it hasnt been said already.....E85 stinks! Couldnt drive with the window down in a mates car and following it smells too.
  3. Yeah I know Henz, that was piss poor. On the road it still doubles though. Just not as strong as what it used to be when checking it on the hoist. Takes a bit of effort, but can break it off. Next mod I think.
  4. Where did Oscar get that done Henz? Im thinking of doing the same thing to mine but keep the standard diff gears.
  5. Goodowrk buddy.. Gotta love just swapping wheels over then driving to work like its nothing after doing a 10.63.
  6. So if you have an accident, your surge tank pump keeps pumping?? When I did mine I tapped my relay trigger wire into the factory fuel pump power supply, after the inertia switch. This way if I have a bingle or someone hits me hard enough, the inertia switch will cut factory pump and surge tank pump. If not this way,I would say if you have a stack, your surge tank will keep pumping till it empties 1.8ltrs of fuel all over the place,if a line splits etc.
  7. Is there enough room to put the bracket on the back anyway? Just thinking that in summer the dash might expand and guage may become loose. Just a thought lol.
  8. Yeah, dare say it would be a safer bet to cut the vinyl first. I have replaced a few dash pads and sure dont want to do mine. I think the holding bracket will fit in there and hold the guage in,but we see what he says. What did the guage cost? I was looking at getting a Cobalt guage to match with the cluster. Can get from Autobarn with a discount in a 52mm for $150.
  9. This is where I have wanted to put a boost guage since I got rid of my tri gauge setup.. Always think about it but was too worried bout it not fitting. It feels like theres enough room and now I know that there obviously is. Goodwork taking the time and effort and it looks good. Nice and tucked down instead of being a bright ornament on top of the dash. Did you manage to get the holding bracket on the back aswell? XAH03,I was worried bout using a hole saw as it may be harsh on the vinyl. Did you cut the vinyl first,or just bore straight through the lot at the same time?
  10. Obviously not my car,but its another on the board, tuned with one pump on E85,making over 400 with a slip to back it up.
  11. BF F6,standard turbo with .7 comp cover,E85,one 044 surge tank,429.7rwkw and a 10.468sec pass at 134.32mph.
  12. Welldone Nizpro and good piloting Christian,3 days with 429.7rwkw and punch out a 10.4 on your 2nd run.Knew it would be down there somewhere mate. Results are speaking for themselves again as per usuall Nizpro standards.
  13. Yeah, either going to paint the letters black or rub them back to a polished finish. Just fitted them this morning so got a few more things to do to finish it up.
  14. Welcome Luke, glad you could join us... Find us alright?
  15. What he said^^^^^^henz that is.
  16. Pretty sure he was on MTs Mick..He did one run on street tyres then put the MTs on,that's when the clutch dramas started. Either way, still pretty bloody good and was even slightly better than my 60ft when I did 11.7 with auto.
  17. Reaction time on the white GS was 1.535.. His 60ft was 1.821. 11.959 @ 118.93. Pretty good for his first run, with just a tune and air filter.
  18. If you have an FG and it comes in for warranty repair of a leaking headgasket,we reuse your bolts. If it was my car I would replace them, but Ford dont allow cost for new headbolts.. This suprises me everytime,as they have to warrant the head job that's being done, but yeah, none have ever come back.
  19. Hey Mick,Luke ran an 11.9 in his supercharged GS that you guys tuned during the week. Pretty good effort considering he is no drag racer. Clutch is now suffering though. Goodwork Danny, love the silent approach then punch out a good time.
  20. Ah yeah,so Daves been running it in his Focus aswell... 2.5years is pretty good going with no concerns. Then again, are the Focus materials better than our Aussie stuff. What type/brand are the 1000cc injectors you guys use Possum? I spoke to Dave about getting mine done last week and he said I will most likely need to upgrade from my Nizpro injectors.
  21. I think we do get those Tech Talk books Mick, will have to have a look.. I also remember that Ethanol was a big no no when it first came out.. Anything over 10% was not used.. Alot of people are going with the E85 now,so will see if any problems pop up.Its all good for the power gain, but dont want to lose the reliability that I have with BP 98,as its been flawless for years now. If I do go ahead with it,I will need to decide if to run on it all the time,or just the odd weeks for a bit of fun. Just the hassle of draining tanks etc becomes a pita.
  22. Hi Mick, when you say possible long term damage to fuel systems, which components are you refferring to? Rubber lines? Plastic tank?? Im trying to gather all negatives and positives before going ahead with it,rather than just thinking about more power.
  23. It is pretty pathetic, how thin the shafts are for such a good trans. Tomorrow would be good but is it going to rain? Might go catch up with EJs little drive tonight and take it from there. If tomorrow night is fine,I be out again.
  24. Put it in gear and see if your tailshaft spins.. If it doesnt, most likely your input shaft. Same thing happened to kv and quite a number of other customers at work. If the tailshaft spins, could be a rear driveshaft or diff. Gonna be up for some $$$ if its the auto.
