  1. They won't really equate to a gain unless it's been tuned. The stock BOV maybe vented giving the sound, check behind the crossover, as you can't tell with the pics you've taken. If there's no BOV then it may be somewhere else, just follow the vaccum line to locate.
  2. 350Z's are pretty quick. I'd say a stock one would beat a stock BA 4spd auto, but not a BF with a ZF. Hypothetically speaking, if the 350z and XR6T had the same 0-100 time, it doesn't mean they would be equal (race wise) up to that speed.
  3. BF's with a Typhoon bottom end (forgot the build date) can do more, but you're starting to really play with fire with 15psi+ with a stock BA motor

I'm also getting my centre muffler section removed this weekend, replaced with made up pipes with flanges so I can change it back to stock if I want. Can't wait

So stock Dunlop 235's vs Nankang 255's Winner = ? Just need to settle the car down when boost comes on as the car get's unpredictable. Sometimes is chirps hard when boost comes on 50kmh+ (ive got the 4spd auto), other times above 50kmh it will get sideways and I've gotta back off :(

BUMP! Quick question about these Nankangs, I recently got a custom tune, car went from 212rwkw to 265rwkw, and I'm getting issues with the car getting sideways/unpredictable comming onto boost. I'm running the standard 17" rims, with the standard dunlops 235 wides, but I've ordered nankang 255's to go on at $190 each. Will they be more grippier then the stock dunlops (taking into account they're a bit wider too) ?
  9. No more getting lost for me with my new Navman Will probably pick up a UHF radio Saturday arvo, and also getting 255's on the rear Saturday morning so can't wait to test it out. Bring it on
  10. 29th is fine, I'd be there

  12. FKN sick, if all systems are go and working, I get my car back on the 15th from Bruces.
  13. Slight variations of ones previously mentioned If there's grass on the wicket, let's play cricket She's as loose as a clowns pocket
  14. There's a bit of a dip mid range then it shoots up like a junkie. No wonder you're getting wheelspin! Is that something that can be tuned out easily to be a bit smoother?
  15. If this occurs when you're flooring it at low RPM in a high gear, you're lugging. It's like a bike rider coasting at 10kmh, then trying to accelerate hard while in the highest gear possible (in your case 5th). As a bike rider at a very low speed, being in such a high gear, the amount of effort you'd have to exert to speed up fast would be tremendous. But in a cars case, the effort/pressure gets transfered straight to the engine. You're putting massive pressure on the conrods, the pistons, everything, and this will eventually lead to detonation and a blown engine. The easy solution is to shift down to the appropriate gear when overtaking! The exact reason while flooring it at low rpm in a high gear is bad is too complex for me to go into, but have a read of this thread. http://www.standardshift.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5567 That should explain everything
  16. Flooring it upphill in 5th gear? Hope you havn't bent a conrod or something. You shouldn't be doing that.

Any pics of it on the car?

You might want to attatch the BOV hose clamp properly rather then half way down the hose

The first person you should be seeing is your GP, period. How exactly did you injure it and is a recurring problem? Also age and weight play a significant role here. Is the pain in the lower, mid or upper back? The last thing you should be doing though is putting it off and get it assessed while the problem is still there. See a GP immediately who should be referring you to get an X-Ray done. This will show any forms of arthritis/spondylosis/scoliosis/degenerative disc diseases etc. If nothing is found there and you're still in pain it's off to have a CAT scan. You may have damaged/pinched a nerve. But unless the correct tests are carried out you're only guessing.
  20. What is this "swirl" remover? I really need to do something as swirm marks really show up under night lights ie lamp posts, in shopping centres etc etc. Just abit worried about doing the electic buffering myself, as I've heard it's possible to burn the paint?
  21. Not willing to disclose any incriminating information Anyway, profords meet at port adelaide coles saturday night. You going Jet? Still havn't seen you at one.
  22. Ok, but this quote states (apparently so may be incorrect) that there's a DBA 4000 series 330mm upgrade (havn't found a 330mm disc in their catalogue ), that they're compatible with the stock calipers? Apparently some guy on here was selling the full PBR upgrade kit for around 1600, don't suppose anyone can get them at that price again. Retail is 2590
  23. Guesstimating, I think they would fit under 17" rims, as they're the standard size as the PBR upgrade discs, but would STANDARD BA callipers fit it/be compatible? They're thicker too, 30mm ( DBA-42104 ), compared to 16mm (DBA-4504).
  24. Which DBA 4000 series discs is everyone fitting? Is it part part number number DBA-4504 SL & SR OR DBA-42104 SL & SR The 42104 states that it's a premium brake upgrade option and is 325mm wide, and also says "Note: This is also the standard front disc rotor for the FPV GT & Pursuit models. Would these fit under the standard BA 17" rims then? And I think the 4504s are only 298mm wide.
