October 9, 200818 yr #1 Hey all, Well Im back... and pleased to show off a 3 day detailing effort!!! :headbang2: 1. Shopping for goodies!!!2. Home and checked out big time - looked over for swirl, chips, scratches, etc... 3. Rinsed... Love a flat fan jet nosel... 4. Bath time... Saddly no rubber ducky for this black beast...5. 3 stage dry... 1. Leather undamaged shammie all over (without frequent wringing out). 2. Second time over with the shammie (this time frequently wrinning out) 3. Microfiber towel.6. Into the garage!7. Hand apply Swirl Remover8. Buff off with electric buffer - Microfiber pad. - then inspect, redo any required areas.9. Hand apply scratch remover10. Buff off with buffer - different microfiber pad - again inspect and redo any required areas.11. Fun time - SLEEP!12. Hand apply paint protector (if you wish, I decided to yeah a Synthetic liquid with sets hard).13. Buff off once dried. and repeat a second coat, then buff again with another Microfiber pad.14. Hand buff with Microfiber towel any areas needed.15. SLEEP again..16. Hand apply Synthetic wax (use Synthetic wax if you are using a Poly Sealer).17. Allow to dry and buff off with buffer - again yet another microfiber pad.18. Apply second coat of wax.19. Buff off with buffer again.20. Now give the whole car a proper buff by hand with 2 microfiber towels.21. Using a blacking agent, touch up all rubber, and plastic areas with a soft cloth.22. Using preferred tyre black of your choice coat the rubber corners with blacker.23. Polish the exhaust tip with chrome polishing wool, or other preferred method.24. Sleep again!25... Next morning double check your happy and touch up any areas you wish...26. Interior as required.27. Stand back look and think...28. Walk to the drivers door and open.29. Start you baby and warm it up.30. GO AND SHOW YOU SEXY BEAST OFF DOWN THE STREET!!! Well basically without a lot of extra detail that's what took the F6 from a number of spots with swirl marks (wish I could meet the wa*ker that polished it in the show room ) to the glowing baby in the pics!!!Let me know what you guys think???From swriled, battered, bush beast - about $350.00 later, and 3 days of sweat, to a glowing black screamer.... Now I have one problem... I dont want to drive it out of the garage... Low res images below dont do it 100% justice... Swirl Marks found!!!Where is my rubber ducky???Time for secret operation!Didnt I order a Black Car??? Looks blue! Swirls GONE!!!End Result!NOW IM BLOODY EXPECTED TO DO THE ST FOCUS XR5 AS WELL... October 10, 200818 yr #7 Author Well... Thanks Dags.... I do lots for the environment.... However this is not one I can get around...WE HAVE NO BLOODY GRASS ANYWHERE AT ALL IN THIS PLACE! Backyard is concrete block pavers, and stone/peddles covering the grass.... (owners says low maintained)... hhhmmmand the front is all drive way - modern townhouses... Make up for it in many other ways but, recycle, pay carbon off set tax on flights, ride a pushie a lot... etc... So do u want to tell us what you think of the end product instead? Oh and tell me - if people here really cared that much for the environment... would we all be talking about MODS, Smoking Tyres, and general rev head things??? (excepting to those that drive Toyota prius)!! Looks Tops! And after you've done the xr5 ive got an XR6T Ute that's needs a good going overMate, your just up the road too!More then happy if you bring it down for and leave it for a few days!Wait wait wait....What a pitty Dags said im not frendly to the environment... So cant help you with this one... If you want a hand, or any advice on the gear used, just PM me!
