Did this today. Was very thorough. Removed the whole solinoid, the vac lines etc. Cleaned the whole lot out with wd40/brakeclean. Don't actually know if there was an improvement because of this though. The reason being that the line returning from the intercoller to the throttlebody was half off . I have no idea why I never heard this from inside the car . So replaced this, put DECENT clamps on all the lines carrying boosted air and the thing goes like an absolute rocket now . Also turned the stealth fx BOV down to nearly nothing cos it used to sh*t me

Have shied away from Bundy stickers (even though I really really enjoy the product ) cos it's all been done. Most of my stickers are custom made. There are two Bundy stickers on it though: one big one in the passenger side corner of the front window and a little one on the back near the number plate.

Besides the obvious weld breakage what else let go? I have a defillipo exhaust on my t and haven't had any dramas with it, but I have heard (third, fourth and fifth hand mind you; you know a friend of a friends best mates cousin stuff ) some pretty ordinary stories about their exhausts. Just interested to know what broke and why. BTW it is good to hear you had no dramas with them replacing it if there was a manufacturing problem

Before I post or describe my ute, I wanna point out that I do own an XR6t. The ute is a 98 XH 6 cylinder. Has wona few prizes at various Ute Shows here in SA No major engine mods other then Air filter and exhaust. Has a rather large stereo in it as well The rest is reasonably obvious BTW pics are a bit old More light s have been added as well as a few other bits and piecs.

I have organised a cruise through FordMods for the SA members. I am happy to extend this invite to anyone on this site as it is because of this site the cruise is happening. OK to explain that The start point is at KPM Motorsports after the dyno day. I would never have found out about this dyno day if it wasn't for xr6turbo.com. . Anyway we are looking to cruise up into the hills via Greenhill road, onto summit road and into Stirling for a cheap Pizza (one of the Fordmods Guys works there . I need to know numbers so I can have the pizza ready though . Anyway from there we will head out onto Upper Sturt road, shepherds hill road, sturt road and a final squirt onto Brighton road out to the Bay. Total distance is about 60ks so we reckon only a short cruise of around hour and a half, two hours. Anyway send me a message or whatever if you can come along and keep an eye out for me at the dyno day.

I can't make it any way but why no B&S utes? I can understand the ferals but why rule out TIDY B&S utes? BTW not having a shot just asking a question.

This sounds rediculous but I have trouble with flat tyres when it gets cold I have also found that the lower the profile the more flat tyres I seem to get and a lot of my friends find the same. Get them checked out and there is actually no puncture. Has had me a bit confused for a while now so I always carry a spare.

The sound on my computer isn't working at the moment but I reckon the song is called "Chicks dig it" (from memory). Yeah she took some cleaning up after that and I had some rewiring to do on the clearance lights. Keep your eyes on this space cos I might upload another vid without tunes and one of the comodore sh*tting itself.

Alright I know its not an XR6t and you wouldn't do this in one anyway (I do own one though ) But me and a mate were having a slow afternoon one Saturday so we went out to a washout (on private property) and cut loose in our utes. There was lots more vids shot, including one of a commy ute giving up the ghost but this is the only one I can be bothered uploading to photobucket. BTW sorry bout the camera work and the tunes....just something I was messing with. If I can't find somewhere to parallel park without a hassle then I park next to at least one expensive/well looked after car on one side and kerbing on the other. Otherwise I park as far away from the door as possible (taking a chance on theiving ) and sometimes take up two parking spots. I did have someone actually reverse into my EBXR6 in a shopping centre in an old dunger while I was inside. She showed true guts and actually hung around for around 15 minutes waiting for me to come out so she could tell me . Now how often would you hear about that???. Ironically she didn't do any damage. I had actually reversed it into a tree a couple of days previous and hadn't had the damage repaired yet. She just happened to hit it in exactly the same spot. I explained this to her mainly because she had been honest enuf to hang around and tell me what she had done. Again you could say I was stupid for not taking advantage of the situation or maybe, just maybe there needs to be a few more people around like the two of us

I know it's not a BA but this is what I did in my XH. Not sure how you would go with a roadworthy though. We don't need roadworthies in SA but the cops have looked at this ute plenty of times (mostly at ute shows ) The wirring has been tidied up since I took the pics but this stereo absolutely pumps.

I just think it is funny cos HE wanted to race and then after losing his car broke (and that would be funny to me regardless of the make of the car). I just read that thread end to end I try to see the good in all but geez there are some wankers over there Hope he gets it fixed so he can continue to get thrashed

Mate has an electric pump on his statesman. Was a lot of stuffing around to make it work but he reckons it was probably worth it. He actually has it on a turbo timer so the pump continues to run for a few minutes after he shuts the engine down which can't hurt. His biggest issue is that his heaters don't work real good anymore .But he didn't remove the water pump pulley, just the impeller.

Ive got shadows on my xr6t (mines the silver one in the pic obviously ). I reckon it makes the silver look darker than mercury silver. Mate has an xr6 in the same colour and mine definately looks darker

On this topic, I just replaced the clutch in my XH and while I was at it changed the oil in the box. The oil drained out of it was Trans fluid. After checking the manual this is what is recommended. Did some more research and found out that using a good gear oil (I used 80/90) will make for smoother shifts. Amazingly it did exactly this (only got the old girl going again tonight). In others opinion will this fix the shifting into 5th crunch or will it simply stall off the inevitable bang or am I wasting time and money? Cheers

Obviously my first car is my XR6t. My second car is an XH ute, done up B&S style (and a trophy winner: the photo is the best I have on my computer at the moment : had just covered around 2500ks in 48hrs when that one was taken :hyper:) . I also own a 92 EB S-Pack that is done up to look like an XR6 (not real hard on an EB ) which is the missus' runaround. Also have a feral Datsun 720 that I do my shooting and general paddock bashing in

I am actually very interested in the replies in this thread. I have just purchased an 03 turbo with a T5. Unless I am very gentle shifting into 5th it gets a bit of a crunch going. Other than that there is no extra noises so I am just interested to find out what else breaks in these boxes. Have had one in my XF, my EB and my XH and other than my XF never had any dramas...but then again they also weren't punching numbers like the turbo . The only reason the one in the XF broke was cos the clutch sh*t itself and I got the sh*ts up and kept ramming it thru gears....
