Siht man, there's a real sense of lonlieness just after a big hit, like your detatched or something. Glad your OK enough to post up a reply, give your favorite liquor a wackin, I'll have a few in sympathy. Dean. (Have had a couple of close calls myself recently, could have gone either way.)

The Dcikhead in the right lane on the Ring Road this morning giving me a stupid look after I flashed my lights at him and then moved around him, "DOIN 80 FN KAY'S IN THE RIGHT LANE". I should have got the audio. Take away shops that think Chicken Dim Sims have to be burnt before you consume them Fuel companies, for creating another type of "premium" unleaded, just so they can charge 10c a/l more for their 98 types.

You don't, "Get the lot for less", by employing people who are worth their money in knowledge. You wanna pay them bottom dollar, you get bottom dollar service. However, with car sales I think its different, it doesn't cost any more to have a guy, or a girl, who is pleasant, well mannered and informative. Maybe the pay rates at the dealers has something to do with it? Oh, and for my 2 cent's worth, this fresh roll stuff is gunna kill Macca's, I ordered and waited about 5mins, staring around the building, got to thinking,"maybe I'll have a large fries", purchased and nearly finished said large fries before "Deli Choice" was even ready.

I see where your coming from Saleen, but there was no malice at all, my freind had made it clear he would not buy a new BMW, but the salesman was helpful all the same, turns out 18 months ago they updated to a 528 Estate, 1997 model all Msport options, happy as! Also to add, I just had the diff, throttle body, drivers seatbelt and an ECU reflash(its ok boys it's not a Turbo ) all done under warranty at less than 2 hrs notice. I was supplied a loaner for the five day's which included a weekend as well. The cost, just the service item's, $250.00, I had the car booked for its 15k the next Thursday anyway.

After the subject was broached in another post but was a bit off topic, I thought I'd start a separate thread. Not just car's either, anything. I will start with a Bimmer dealer, a freinds experience, not mine. 1989 535 sedan, third hand well looked after, went in with his Wife and his 2 y.o. daughter to get a heater control problem looked at, while he was waiting the whole stick, "Could I show you some of our new model's sir while your waiting", "I wouldn't like to waste your time we're not really in the new market", "No really, come through and have a look take your time, you may want to see us in a few years time!" Years people, my dealer did'nt give a sh*t about me hours after I had left, and these people are talking years.

Might start a separate thread on this.

Working in Campellfield, watch car carriers go by towards the FPV workshop. Six cars on these transporters, the Two at the front are Phoon or GT donor cars, you know, orange spare wheels all round, no bumpers, the remaining four are all Territory's, all black and all Ghia's. Now why would you put the two donor cars at the front of the truck when you have to move all those Territory's just to get them off????

The T's must have a harsh limiter, My 8 runs up to it and just sit's there, feels like it could do it all day!!

My XR8 Ute is currently in the dealer getting a new diff due to bearing failure on the passenger side, now, I have have only ever driven the car in any of the alternative modes that Ford provides on it's Auto modes, that is in Drive or SSS mode, if that proves to be caused my excessive driving technique, then they are going to have a hard time getting back the BA XT wagon I am currently driving while my Ute gets fixed, having said all that, I have already been told that it's a warranty job. So beauies, get them on the blower on Monday and hammer the siht out of them, THEIR FEEDING YOU A LINE, it's a warranty job. It might lose 15% when you drive it out of the Dealership, but I'll get it back one way or another.

Tailpipe won't run grey or white as far as lean goes, cause there's no lead in your guzzoline

Dropped the Ute off at Ford this morning, they gave me an Auto Focus, they rang this afternoon, NEW DIFF TIME !!!!! No rollers left in bearing on pass. side axle bearing, when I dropped off this mornig the whole wheel was covered in diff oil. I think the repair mob might have done a shonky, Ford say's complete new diff, no muckin around!!! Etheridge in Ringwood, have been pretty good to me all along in the service dept.

Driving down Barry Road last week, a convoy of GT's drove by me, second exhaust cut out, but no tip, also different wheels but it was only a passing glimpse, Maybe car's on their way to something else, these were heading from main plant to FPV.

Some of you may remember earlier this year I had a little episode with a gutter, thereby removing one wheel from the passenger side rear of the car, well it's taken a little while but the diff's really starting to make some sick noises. Sometimes so bad that the harmonics when I'm driving on the Ring Road distort the mirror, pinion backlash and also a shuddering kind of feeling, almost up for first service so I have started a list, also anyone else have trouble with their drivers side seatbelt retracting?

I do believe the Red one and the Silver one are factory orders.

Now I'm confused as well, does anybody know what the difference is between a normal tune and a MAF-less tune?

What a fantastic telecast!!!, some of those guy's, when you see the incar, BIG BALLS!!!! Great to see stuff like the old Mk I & Mk II Escorts and the Datto's, JR say's he'll be back next year with an AWD Porsche again, past 2 years he's been banking on the weather staying a bit drier. But take nothing away from the White's, Father & Son, giving it 110% and having a ball the whole time. Must build, must race, MUUSST!!!! -
IMHO, they look fully sic, but, the problem with them is the same problem as with f*cking blue lights on washer sprays, fog lights when theres no fog, sub's that I can hear from my f*cking house and or someone baring their ass out the window at you as they drive by, IT BREAKS YOUR CONCENTRATION of the job at hand which happens to be driving your car, SAFELY! :soapbox2: Sorry nothing personal, JMO.

The air intakes are actually big enough to inhale greenies as it drives past them in the street, the guys in Fords light truck division are pill poppers, I love it!!!!!!

Even though they offer the 4.8, the Turbo Diesel has to be the weapon of choice, I know what your talkin about with the turbo note JB, its one sweet whistle. Ford need to get a hi-tech Turbo Diesel in the Territory to bring the fuel economy back down to reasonable levels, 800 k's out of a tight engine, that FN phenonminal JB, how bigs the tank?
