Wheels arent special enough for the money, even trainspotting Subaru'ers will have trouble picking it at a glance. B4 stuck out from the Liberty because one of their features was the wheels and the bonnet, Just doesnt look special.

Its all relevant, if you want to drag race the car only, then work it out and set it up to run at just before redline in top gear as it crosses the line, that's how Drag Racers setup their cars, or all the ones I have spoken to anyway

Quiksmurf, if you want to replace them with the 9000, which I would'nt personally, then dont pay over $450 a tyre. Like I said though, I wont be using the 9000 again, I have the same problem except worse than what I had on my AU XR8, 26000 km's down to the canvas on the AU, 21000 km's, past the wear bars on the BA, great grip but too soft.

G8 is the model designation now for the V8 Fairlane They've changed it to that for two reasons I think, one is that the V8 is now 230 kw instead of 220, and the other , IMO, is that their trying to reinvent the LWB Fords, they seem to do it every time, when are they goin to realize that they will NEVER compete with the Statesman on a level playing field again. The problem is perception, Guys who buy new Statesman's seem to have this look and feel about them like, its some kind of status thing like a Beemer or Benz, trippers. On the other hand we have the Fairlane LTD buyers who never drive the car far enough to burn the moisture out of the exhaust let alone worry about burning some sales rep in an Exec or an XT off at the lights. Now I dont like the look of the new Statesman at ALL, and the Grange! , but in the WH, even the International was a sharp lookin tool. Stop building LWB Fords in Biege and Turquoise, give em some of the darker XR colors, drop em to XR ride height and slam a set of 18's on there, and your already half way home. Had slotted cross drilled on my XH, two set's they both cracked around the cross drilling, a mate who has Euro brand cross drilled on his Mondeo said that they are not spose to be drilled all the way through or it creates a hot spot, his Mondeo ones are "spotted" about 3mm or so deep.
