having owned a few late model Fords, you get used to the custom thump, squeek, bang noises.....its proof you bought Australian, cause I'm pretty sure japanese cars come sans annoying noises from the factory 9 times outta 10. Be happy, and celebrate all that is Aussie engineering!!!

have to agree with Tab, running costs will be the killer, especially if you are struggling before you get the car.....start smaller and build your empire grasshopper, its the best way, or be smarter and buy land, heaps slower, but one day will be worth its weight in gold!!!!

I bought a Tomtom GO910 a few months back, has MP3, photo, hands free bluetooth, text to speech etc.... fantastic unit, having said that, they have now been discontinued.... It may be worth the wait until an equivelent model is released, in my opinion the extra's are worthwhile, playing the MP3's thru the ipod connection in the car is excellent, it pauses the song to give you directions, meaning you can still have your music at a decent volume and not miss a thing. The text to speech is also handy, being told the street name to turn into helps in areas where there is two streets close together..... The hands free works a treat, it was the biggest selling point for me, having a compatible phone (which I dont!!) means the Tomtom will actually read your SMS messages out to you..... And no....I dont work for Tomtom

I'm biased, my car came with stripes when I bought it, I think they look good on some cars, not something on every car though.... its a personal taste thing, but I'm a fan!!!
