Pump Gears

Part of my Engine rebuild will require Pump rebuild with 4340 gears ... Noticed intune sell them 4 $389 4 the FG... BA/BF are $429... Wudnt they b the same?  What other brands do people recommend ?

FG and BA/F are different. Atomic is another brand.

I'm supplying my customer with the full pump assembly from Atomic as the gears alone don't complete the package required for why people install the gears

 

the full assembly has billet end plates that get gas nitrated to HRC55 and this places the hardening surfaces needed for the rotating gears to press on without wearing out , then there's the oil relief that's tweaked accordingly 

 

make sure you know what you're doing first peoples as a half job could still cost you a total bill in a worst case scenario
