I would have thought it would be hard to tell how much power an engine has, by MPH down a 1/4 mile track,

unless you do a "power to weight" comparison as well.

Surely two cars, both with 300rwkw on the same dyno could have a totally different time,

eg, a car weighing 1.4 ton will be much quicker then a car weighing 1.8 ton on the 1/4 mile run.

Does that make sense :dontknow:

^^ I think people are taking the cars weight into consideration? I.e. 1800kgs is probably what they use

Or maybe the more hardcore people go weigh their cars also, at a weigh station or something
