  • Since no one else has chimed in... I'm a quarter mile virgin (at the track at least, street may be another story) but putting a manual XR6T down the strip in a respectable time isn't so easy. Ple

Nice compilation of results there, mate.

As per my other post, the Nizpro 10.7... this video looks like it's IRS - can't be sure, though -

That time was 10.738 @ 144.15 MPH, for the Nizpro car.

BCL's car ran (from his thread here -> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/40550-bcl-runs-138-mph-and-119s-first-time-out/) 11.935 @135.85mph 2.186 60ft on C16 fuel on 640rwkw (dynapack hub dyno), just an FYI,

His car ran 138.51MPH at one stage that same night, but that only netted a 12.5 ET :)

I'm sure there's more information around.the forum.. might do some scavenging.

I watched those runs too Keith - the car had no traction until around half track but it was only running Toyo R888 tyres too, no mickey thompsons.

I don't think it ever got back out to the track with a decent tyre.

#374

Yeah... I want to take the car out and smash out a bloody good time... needs a clutch, though...

There's a video on that thread, if I remember correctly, showing his 11.9 run. The video didn't show a lot of loss of traction, but you can imagine :)... high 500's at the wheels doesn't really give you much traction in lower gears with street legal tyres :)

#375

Yeah I can imagine you want to get it back out there.

What I meant was, I was physically at the track when Brian ran - 1st and 2nd gear were completely useless, but in saying that he wasn't exactly a supremely confident drag racer and the car did intimidate him - fair enough too!

A set of MTs will sort most of that out anyway mate :spoton:

What a 5000rpm clutch drop looks like on stock cv shafts lol
