Fpv Phased Out 2014

Well while the GS was being built there was no reason for Ford to bother building an XR8 with the 5.0 SC. Robbing Peter to pay Paul in a sense.

What I'm interested in is have they said whether or not the XR8 will come out with the updated FH falcon skin? Or will it be basically the same car they killed off a few years ago with an updated power plant, brakes and suspension.

Ford nearly did an NA 5.0 xr8 though that was going to be sold alongside the s/c GS. For various reasons, it never happened.

My belief is any falcon beyond 2014 will wear the new update skin.

Only the early model 302 GS and the 5th Anniversary GT did. After that everything was force fed in the FPV stable.

You could argue that the last XR8 is getting back to the roots of what a muscle car is. Lots of power in a cheapish trim.

man those fg gs and gt would have gone nowhere....

hopefully they actually get back to there roots and finally start producing good power before they go out..at least then it wont be overshadowed by the xr6t's..?

My old man has an FG GT with 5.4. No special edition or anything.

Ratter ran a 11.7 or 11.8 qtr with only 280rwks with a 5.4... Cannot be that bad...

No matter what ford bring out it won't sell, why buy a car where the workers ate getting the arse from... I'm sure quality control won't be high on there list.. It was not high on Fords list even in there peak times..

Once a company announces its leaving people jump off.

Same could be said for Expensive Daewoo too...they are still sacking blokes by the hundreds.

Has this topic been confirmed yet or is it still just based on rumour? I can't understand why it would be a drama to keep FPV going given it's no longer a separate entity in any case...but then most things Ford have done over the last decade don't make much farkin sense.
