Better spot for it.

Me and Keith bickering in a public thread could turn away potential members.

Putting it in the donating members area means they're already hooked and probably used to us two grandmothers going back and forth ;)

Foxtel HD makes me lol. They charge $10 extra per month for 720p like it's 2004 or something. 1080p has been the standard for ages now, and 4k the little extra. God I hate Foxtel!

I subscribe to foxtel

I pay the extra 10 bucks for HD

the HD is 1080p with 5.1 surround sound

I think you are referring to the original foxtel box which was sh*t

Foxtel Now =/= Foxtel Go

Foxtel Now is a completely separate streaming service to a Foxtel "box" subscription.

Foxtel Go is the streaming package that you get alongside a Foxtel "box" subscription.

They are basically the same "streaming service" though, in terms of content. They both changed to 720p50 a few months ago on "live" channels, but if you watch anything "on-demand" then you get the old crappy SD 576i (that you used to get on both "live" streaming services up until that cut-over date for "Go" and much earlier for "Now" - maybe even it's inception?).

whoops, forgot to add "minimum 720p50", which includes some 1080p stuff.

does "Now" have select on-demand at high quality? - I haven't seen it, so can't comment 100% accurately as to which cases on-demand is different between "Go" and "Now". I only ever opened sport "on-demand" via "Go" and it's never been HD via VoD.

I believe Foxtel Now is still being marketed as a separate product (ref: https://www.foxtel.com.au/now/index.html), but "Foxtel Go" is just now via the "watch.foxtel.com.au" website instead of a separate "silverlight" app, on a chrome-browser-capable device (laptop, pc etc) and via an iOS/Android app which still has the "Foxtel Go" nomenclature as far as I can tell.
