Ironically, it says "crimped insufficiently" in the description of the recall fault haha, just sufficiently crimp it to repair, you'd think. Crimps are fine for terminating a cable or maybe joining 1 or 2 but 5? No..will always get a higher resistance than solder as a crimp simply does not penetrate. Solder is also fine with heat, takes quite hot direct contact to get it to flow, once heat shrunk with a heat shrink that contains a sealent compound its very unlikley to fail. Fire rated heatshrink that contains a resin is also avalible that will take a direct toasting for 2+hrs... Seen soldered 3 phase connections on large fans in bloody harsh environments supporting 80+ amps(start up) no worries. Better than a cumbersome house hold connector anyway..I dont know why I bothered writing any of that given you still maintain crimps are the go even after watching a video on a saftey recall for my exact problem that says otherwise.......
