Ordered a Powerglide with a Deadenbear case not sure why this is needed as it's just the internals that need beefing up isn't it ??

1.80 gearset seems the go as opposed to 1.76 and 1.82 for 6ylc and 8cyl planetaries...

Got a step learning curve I guess

cheers

Pretty sure you will find the deaden bear case is used as its stronger then the factory one doesn't crack etc stronger alloy or is it a steel case .

Dropped sh*tty factory coolant and replaced with the good gear!

Spent 2 frustrating hours trying to flush header tank after removing it to get the brown sludge like residue out left from the old coolant.

In the last 4 days Did service, flushed coolant, got diff oil changed, flushed zf and installed rapid turbo side and cooler!

Installing that cooler is one of the biggest c*** of a job if ever done on a car, so poorly designed!! I can understand now the appeal of the stepped coolers!!

On a side note my turbo side just runs a small filter (maybe 5-6" long), is it worth getting a 9" filter? Only aiming for a bit over 300rwkw so can't imagine it will be a restriction

Everything lol.

Instructions didn't include half of what had to be done. Had to make new mounting brackets cause the ones supplied are too thin and don't line up, no measurements given for where to redrill radiator mounts, had to cut part of the metal crush bar which wasnt told had to be done, lower mounting brackets were useless, wiring harness had to be moved, bolts had to be ground back, air con hoses had to be ben out of the way, I think that was it lol. And after all that it only just fit so we siliconed where it could touch when it moves to avoid damage. And on top of all that I was missing nuts, bolts, clamps and some hoses. Too be honest I wouldn't buy it again, I would have bought the pw stepped, well worth the extra $600

And that doesn't include the problems we had with the turbo side and battery relo!
