that's what I was thinking. The rapid systems website says that the small one is 470mmx400mmx90mm, so its still a fair sized intercooler. But I am still curious if RAP1D has done any product research between the two of them, as the big one is only 30mm wider, I'd like to see how much difference there actually is.

in 27c heat my intake temps are 29-30c flat stick 300rwkw.

how did you get these numbers?

I have a Rapids v3.5 with the air box and smaller street cooler, running an RDP tune to 485rwhp @19psi.

First thing I asked when it was tuned was how the intercooler was coping and Lee's response was 'fine', not one to bullsh*t or hold back I was pretty impressed with this comment. Installed it all myself in about 2.5hrs with no cutting either, go the street IC, you shouldn't need more by what you're saying, good value for money I reckon.

Process West wants $470 for a battery relocation kit that I cant justify the money for, and everyone else has the battery in with the filter which I'm not a missive fan of either. Stuck between a battery and a hard place...

Brisbane mate, it was tuned during that heat wave we had a few months back but that doesn't affect your Dyno numbers if it's in shoot6f mode as I'm told it compensates for it. Ran hard all summer without any noticeable heat soak though so the cooler is doing it's job. The airbox is good but be prepared to turn heads because it's loud!

Was that at the start of a dyno run?

From what I saw with the results of nizpros testing, for it to 30degrees the cars idling.
