I know mild rusts and stainless handles that alot better but the amount of time it may take for a mild steel exhaust to rust or cause issues may not be an issue..so im after feedback from anyone who has dabbled in this and for the record it will be turbo back, dont see the point in doin half of it Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/78575-stainless-vs-mild-steel/ Share on other sites

Been on there for 8 years I think. ExternallyIt's just a bit brown. But if you look down the stainless tips into te mild section it joins onto its pretty sad:(.Having said that I'd say 10 years would be a good lifetime for a mild steel exhaust? If rust was major concern then they would of switched to stainless. If your tryin to save coin, or keep the weight down then mild steel is the go. If you want to impress your friends then stainless.
