With mild steel against turbo the heat will travel down the tube, therefore dispersing and cooling better. With stainless the heat doesnt travel and will heat red hot at turbo end wile still being able to touch it bare hand 1m further down. Mild steel for deeper sound, stainless mufflers for crackle. It's a question of taste of course but the avoidance of rusting of mufflers might be worth it.The stock systems are mild steel aren't they?
