Did, sold it a touch over 3 years ago.

Just ordered an Smb system for my sedan. Will be retaining the ms dump tho.

Hey Staino, any tips for welding ms too cast iron? Thought on using 309 rods?

Im competant with stick but its not my specialty.

I have tig welded a bit of cast iron using stainless 316l wire, however I would not trust it with my life. As you probably know the cast is brittle.

Yeah will be tigging it and preheat/slow cooling etc etc. Have been given conflicting reports on using 309 filler vs a GP comweld cast iron rod VS an Ally/Bronze filler.

All I need too do is glue a bit of 50mm Black pipe too and exhaust manifold for a wastegate connection

The most important thing is a stainless muffler. Provided its alluminised mild steel for the rest of the system it will last a long time but if there is a spot where it is prone to water collection it will take that bit out. The best would be the 409 S/s that OEMs are using and that will last the life of the car.
