February 28, 201115 yr #61 Can anyone confirm if they have EPAS (electronic power assisted steering ) ?
March 1, 201115 yr #64 you must be mistaken, vic plates maybe, NT plates no wayHmm, I swore it was NT plates.. my mistake. But damn did it stand out! I do quite like the look of these cars, and wouldn't mind it being translated into a sedan in the future (maybe the next generation falcon? )
March 1, 201115 yr #65 yes I believe they do.I don't get it - didn't you drive it?But yes they do...or so I've heard
March 1, 201115 yr #66 So can you actually touch this touch screen without having to pull yourself forward with the wheel ???? LIke can you touch it from a propper seated position. If not how is mr fat guts every going to reach it. And what rating are the tyres ??? Are they 93Y or higher as it's heavier and has a higher towing capasity. If you squint it really does have a VW look to the front of it Edited March 1, 201115 yr by XR09
March 1, 201115 yr #67 I don't get it - didn't you drive it?But yes they do...or so I've heard Yes I sure did. And I did notice the steering was extremely variable in feel and differing speeds. I just haven't seen the hardware etc to confirm 100%. I even looked under the hood at the new donk, but didn't really look out for it.Interesting that the Tezza gets epas, yet the updated Falc doesn't.
March 2, 201115 yr #68 My neighbors spent the last 3 days at ford school and snapped this pic of the new territory An Australian built car, what could go wrong
March 3, 201115 yr #69 hahaha, that was from the Discovery Centre when we were having dinner. Have to admit the past 3 days of Ford training make it very exciting to be a Master Tech and makes all the training worth while. He took that pic and sent to you as a teaser lol. that's the new model lol but you werent sposed to show anyone...First 2 days were learning bout the new model and drivetrain etc, then yesterday was like one big excursion. First to FPR,then to the plant for a tour which was the best part imho. After seeing them getting built (the robots were awesome) we went to the Ford proving ground and went for a blast round the speed circuit in a bus lol. The testing rooms and procedures they carry out to try and find the weak points are interesting and the sound chamber was weird. Shame they still cant work out the diff bushes. Then off to the engine plant, then the discovery centre for a good dinner and guest appearance from Will Davidson. All in all was the best experience Ive had with Ford over the past 8 years and hope theres more to come.
