We need it!Oh and fronts are ventilated rotors, rear are solid...havent measured them though. Mine's an ex police car which might muddy things a bit...I've heard normal cars had ventilated rears too which I think are bigger, though this may have changed along the line somewhere. I emailed Ford to see if they could tell me what options were on it.They emailed me back saying my car had the "Premium" brake package which had bigger rotors, 322 front and 328 back with twin piston front calipers and single back.I've never measured them but they are certainly bigger that standard XR6 brakes. The fronts are ventilated, the rears are solid. As for needing them, my word you need them.

As for being 2s, if you mean 2 pistons or 2 pot, yes they are. They are great everyday brakes, certainly better than the NA, which I had 3 warped discs on. But try pulling it up from 140+ and it just doesnt like stopping.Yes I know, shouldnt be driving that fast. If you have a T I doubt youve never done it.But they are far superior than the brakes we used to have on the VK/VH/VL commodores I used to drive when I was working the highways in the 80s.

Same brakes that were on the original Typhoons. For BF, everything bumped up a level, and the T's and XR8's got the performance brakes as standard, but with a (supposedly) vented rear disc. The other Falcons stayed with the same brakes and the Typhoons got Brembo's as standard.

Posted 27/01/10 06:43 AM Posted 27/01/10 06:43 AM wow there is a big misconception that the BF's had the BA premium brakes. That is NOT the case. Ive had both on my car and can tell you there is a big difference between them in how they perform. Infact a member on here upgraded his BF fronts from the standard to BA premiums and he can also tell the big differenceThe statistics.BA - Fronts - 2 piston caliper w/ 298mm vented rotor. Rears 1 piston w/303 solid rotor.BA premiums/FPV - Fronts - 2 piston C6 caliper(much stronger and thicker) w/ 325mm vented rotor. Rears 1 piston w/303 solidBF - Fronts - 2 piston caliper(same as BA caliper just different mounting) w/ 322mm vented rotor. Rears 1 piston w/328 vented rotor.BFII(some)- Fronts - 2 piston caliper w/ 322mm vented rotor. Rears 1 piston w/303 solid rotor.FG - Fronts - 2 piston caliper w/ 322mm vented rotor. Rears 1 piston w/303 solid rotor.
