Guys, BE NICE !!!

And to answer the OP's questions:

It is not easy to install a TT in a BF-> due to the imobiliser. It would be best left to a professional who has done it before.

It is also unnessassary as the car has a thermosyphon effect that will allow the turbo to cool down.

The only thing you need to do is not thrash the crap out of the car then switch it off, wait at idle for 30 seconds before switching off the motor.

The problem is that we generally get asked the same question 3-20 times a week. Us moderators are thick skinned and used to answering the same questions, but some people are not so understanding.

Best thing to do is have a search through the site using the search function. Put statements like "turbo timer" in inverted commas to ensure it is only searching this phrase.

You will see that some people have them installed, but it is not needed.

Enjoy the place and :Welcome2FordXR6t:

My useless bit.

I believe very early cars used the thermosyphon effect in their cooling system before mechanical water pumps.
