Took out the centre console this arvo to have one last look at the connectors I could get to before I took the drivers seat out and the small connector going to the RCM on the centre tunnel was unplugged. How I missed it when I first did it and the 2 times since I have no idea. Thanks guys for the problem solving and throwing ideas my way. Cheers JR

Ok I got the code. Its P1534 PCM Airbag Deployment Fault. Apparently its a bad connection to the RCM Wiring Connections. Can anyone confirm this BEFORE I take the centre console and drivers seat out to check the connectors? Also is the RCM under the seat?

Barnz thanks for that. Ill look into them unless someone in the eastern burbs of Melbourne (Knox) has one I can borrow or buy cheap.

Just thinking. The ICC is all good now. Any point in taking out those plugs to fix the airbag light?

Battery was disconnected the whole day. I'll redo the icc connectors this arvo. Know what order they need to be plugged back in? How can I scan it without taking it to Ford?

The Orange connector on the Passenger side wasn't clipped in all the way. Seems to have fixed the display on the ICC. Now its just the AIRBAG light that is on and wont go off. Ive checked the connectors under the seats and all the ones at the fuse box. Fuses are good too...........Im stumped!

Just went out and the fairys must have come last night and fixed it. Took it for a drive around the block and all was fine. Stopped and tried putting the heater on feet to see if it worked and the ICC flashed then all the aircon display disappeared and just the RECIRULATION symbol is flashing. Going to check connections again this morning. Hopefully its one of them.

Hey Guys, Just took the dash out of a 2004 BA XR6 Turbo with Dual Zone climate to fix the mixer shaft that had broken in the passenger side. Got it all out easy enough, replaced the broken one, and replaced the drivers side just in case that is about to break too. Put it all back together, for some reason I have 2 screws left over. Not sure where they went but oh well. Took it for a drive around the block and now have some issues. 1. The ICC has SECURITY CODE ALERT come up. I have read that this will fix itself and not to worry. 2. All dash lights are on, including all warning lights, there is no speedo or revs working, doesnt say what gear you are in either. 3. Noticed that the car seems to be stuck in 3rd gear. yes its an auto. I guess somewhere along the lines I have messed up. Anyone have any ideas BEFORE I take it all apart again tomorrow? Thanks in advance

Finally got around to organising them to get done. Pedders in Ftg are going to do them. 1hr labour to fit...... Cant go wrong! Sure beats doing them myself. Thanks for the input. JR

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. I did the discs on my old EL without a hitch so might give these a go. Needs a service anyways and I think most palces charge about $60 for fit them. Just need to find them cheap.

Aaron, thanks for that mate. Missus got @rse ended by a white van and pushed her into 2 other cars so the brakes got put on hold while the car got fixed. Anyone know if they an easy replacement in the drive with a jack and some axle stands?

Does anyone know what part number I need to replace the rotors on the PBR MUSCLE KIT which are the same as the Blue Caliper FPV versions for the BA's?

Guys this seems the norm these days. I worked for a large engineering firm here in Melbourne that was working on the Olympic Dam Project and I was one of 180 that got the @rse last month. Was hard finding work once the other 179 started looking too and had to take a $40k pay cut just to keep the money coming in. Heard from a mate on Thursday (who also works for an Engineering company doing design for BHP) that he and 70-80 others finish up on Friday. So from 2 companys I know that's 250 people out of work and alot of other places arent looking or offering low wages knowing they have the pick of whos looking. Lets hope something happens and we get back into THE GOOD TIMES once again!!!

Sounds good. I didnt know at the time what was actually broken and for $65 with having the wreckers literally 5 min from home it was an easy choice. I think I still have the broken one in the garage.

After I upgraded mine to the PBR kit I chucked the old ones down the tip. Didnt ever think anyone would want them.

Ferntree Gully Auto Parts have them for $65. Second hand but way cheaper than Fraud. I replaced mine about 2 months ago and the steel cable was too long and the door wouldnt open. Took the one off my old one and replaced it and it worked fine. Also invest in a size T30 Torx bit. That is what you need to remove it.

Id be up for a white Tshirt with Small logo on the front LHS and the big FordXR6Turbo.com logo on the back across the shoulders. Or the black one or white one in the pic is fine too How many do you need for a minimum order? I still have my FordForums.com polo I bought probably 7 years ago. Still wear it every weekend washing the cars or out in the garden.

And it was easy as to do. The drive through the Black Spur after it was the best part of that day!!!

Subaru tried that on my missus' Liberty when it had a super noisy aircon compressor. For the last 3 services we kept saying it was noisy and there is a problem. They greased it up and said all was ok, and 2 weeks later it was noisy again. The last time we took it to Subaru, 1 month out of warranty, they said the aircon was farked and wanted $1500 to replace it. I told them to stick it up there @rse and fix it for free as we had told them for over 1 year it was broken. The manager rang me 1/2hr later and said they would fix it under warranty, but its not what they normally do, when its out of warranty. I am not sure if the new GT's have a run in policy for the first 5000k's or something but you should be fine in getting a replacement engine if that's the problem.

One of the bestt presents I got was a flying lesson out at Lilydale Airport. I ALWAYS wanted to be a pilot but never applied myself at schooling so didn't follow thru with it. I got to take off, fly pretty much 95% of the flight and the instructor landed it. Best $140 anyone has ever spent on me.
