I didn't start this thread to become a political sh!tfight or to debate the rights and wrongs of the war or 9/11, none of that was good.

But if innocent people were locked away and treated like that its not a good thing. Bloody heavy metal all day would be torture to me, if you were a fundamental muslim it would be torture as well. As I said there was a lot worse stuff than that went on, as for Hicks I don't think he was entirely innocent either, but he never flew any planes into ant buildings, he isn't a muslim and he wasn't captured in a training camp, he was accused of those things.

Even the yank Govt admitted it paid for many detainees. Keep it in perspective, you are 100% right with your assessment of the legalities. Harvyk, every Lawyer trained in international law knows that.

What happened in this place was disgusting, and nothing will ever justify it in my mind. America calls itself home of the free and land of the brave. Well fark me they are not free and definately not brave. They are a bankrupt amorol oppertuinistic bunch of dangerous bully boys. I have meet a few I like, but as a nation I hate them.

You been reading my mind Scotty. They are great people mostly in there own country, but internationally I don't think they have got too many friends.

Ive had a bit of change of heart and since there all so innocent we should release them immediately and give them Australian visas so they can come here and live in peace. We should also do this asap so they can become eligible for Kevin Rudd's handout. Any other bright ideas we can collectively come up with?

Big deal, loud rock music is nothing compared to the hundreds of murders the Muslim extremist have done to innocent westerners. Water boarding and other torture tactics is nothing compared to filming beheadings then posting them on the net.

I'd rather be a Muslim extremist caught by the US military than a non Muslim caught by an Muslim extremist.
