Got in the car this arvo, it's raining so I turn the wipers on, they moved about a 1/4 of an inch then stopped!?!? WTF They were working 10 minutes earlier.

Checked the fuse and all is good.

Checked that water still flows, again all is good, screen gets sprayed but the wipers remain dorment!

Question is, where is the bloody wiper motor, there is no noise coming from anywhere when the wipers are activated (except my I <3 Bananas cursing!!!)

HELP!!!! Please.

Is the ignition turned on?

:dummyspit:

Must be a burnt out motor if not the relay....PITA to get to the sucker too as both the arms have to come off to get the plenum thingo off me thinks.

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

Are the washers not working as well, then start with the relay and fuse, also check the aux power socket if there is no power there its more than likely to be the relay

if you can hear the motor it's getting some power at the least.. check the relay as it is a likely problem.

if not, to get to the motor you need to take the wiper arms off - lift the cap covering the nut - and check where it sits before you take it off, as that's where you want to put it back..

Then you need to take the plastic off and then the motors pretty easy to get to.
