I'm not having a go at your car mate, yours is f*cking tuff. All I'm saying is you could probably achieve the same power and the same quality in an boosted six for less than a blown 8.

You of all people should be able to correct me if I'm wrong.

lol I know I was only playin

the Boss owner has to refinance his house 3 or 4 times :o

not quite lol

It's so hilarious, people get so worked up over nothing. We all here to have fun and enjoy our cars.

So anyway how is the nizpro Gt going? I for one am very interested to know more about the car cause mine stock was pulling out timing.

Guys anything?

Im talking twin screw blowers such as a kenne bell or whipple, if you think any turbo setup can match one of these things for off tap instant tqe under 3ooorpm your dilousional.

Dilousional? I love how you are so confident. Have you see any real performance figures between such similar weighted cars?

It would be interesting to see a dyno sheet comparison between a 400rwkw SC V8 and a Turbo inline six ...

Yours is around the 400rwkw mark isn't it John?

Would be good to compare your tune/times to a blown boss with a touch over 400 as well... Costs would also be interesting!

well I think a 4oorwkw rotary will hand you your ass!! :crybaby:

I think a 400rwhp rotary in a well setup chassis would hand both their arses, let alone a 400rwkw/500+rwhp one :crybaby:

I6T FTW for an everyday car with good fuel consumption & good performance!

Depending on the supercharger used, would depend if there is any lag.. As XRQTOR said screw/roots/whipple style blowers are known for almost instant torque, while Centrifugal type of blower spins with the rpm, more rpm more boost, therefore laggy..

Turbos are known for being laggy, they work basically as a centrifual blower, sure there are things to make it more responsive, but in the end its still a turbo.. I dont know what mods a standard turbo needs to make 400rwkw, reliably, but I ASSUME its gonna be more laggy than one making 300rwkw's (given the same intake and exhaust)

I'd be happy with either, both would be tuff cars..

Just my 2c,

Screw blowers provide close to max boost right from idle, they provide a certain amount of air per revolution, rangine from around 2 to over 3 litres of air depending on the type of blower used, and the amount of air they flow does not really change with revs. They provide tonnes of off idle torque and would easily smash a turbo 6 in that area any day of the week. No lag with a screw blower, and considering the Boss engines already produce more off idle torque than the turbo 6's anyway it would just further increase its advantage in that area.

And yes, the Boss engines do provide more off idle torque than the turbo 6's, I'm talking straight off idle before the turbo has any chance of providing boost. Once over 2000 rpm its a different story though.
