If they say it's going to be any longer than around 20minutes, it means they're busy, and any number of things can hold up the process.

Any time after 20-25min is always a guess as this is around the baseline for a non-busy scenario. Whenever I order a pizza and they say 30min to wait, I get there about 30min after ordering with the expectation that it might take another 10-15min of waiting for the pizza to end up boxed and ready to go, due to the amount of unpredictable things that can hold up the process

Don't give a time then at all Keith, don't say ready in 30 when it's not... Just say ready in 45... 3 to 4 times now its happened... Flipped out don't happen any more.

If they don't give a time, hundreds of customers will ask how long... they give out a time as a guideline to keep customers from spending forever on each phone call explaining the nuances on what can cause the time to fluctuate or not be accurate

It's a simple production line. A worker should be able to judge how long it will take!

That's the thing, the production line part is easy to estimate, it's everything that stops that production at any possible interval that causes delays
