Been a winner today..won poker. $25 bottleo voucher ($25 cos day game..nights get $50). Then picked the winner in the oaks race. 5er on it won $25 or so. There were 3 clear favourites..rest were all over $10. Thought about putting on a tri for them at 2mins to go. But was on final table for poker. Fukkers got up!!! $66.50!!! Fwuck!

Funny story actually, while I was there they were heating up heat packs in a microwave. Sitting there and all of a sudden POP! Heat pack blows up.

I said to the girl "what did you do that for?" and she eplained that since the microwave they have is an old analogue version with a dial it isn't accurate to 10 secs. I figured that would be typical of a not for profit organisation, so I've just bought them a digital one off ebay, if I can pick it up early enough tomorrow I'll drop it off to them.

Figured I'd do something good!

So.. Here's dedication: this arvie we had a bloke slip off a wing wall we were working near.. Fell a good 2.7m and smashed his face into the top of the wing on the way down.

Only a few of us saw and we bolted down the bottom.. Mad bastard stands up and goes back rather half arsed with a trowel.. Works until the safety officer finished his inspection and left.. Then just falls over..

Don't think he is working tomorrow.

Holy cow that's madness. It's not fun falling 2.5m..I knocked myself out..what a talk to get back up and keep working haha! But the safety dude would've shut the place down wouldn't he?
