Hi guys, does anyone know how to get rid or reduce the hissing noise when upgrading the speakers and installing an amplifier in an FG? Cheers.

Use a bit ten with good installation practices is about the best way to go using factory ICC, some has had some success with a decent LLC but I also see many that don't. ICC is just really a noisy pos that adding an amp to amplifies the noise.

Bypassing it completely with an aftermarket head unit and PAC controller for the steering wheel controls is another option.

Done my fronts. Too easy, the trims are easy to get off and doubled up the spacers for the 6 1/2's. just put some Sony xplode 2 ways..... They sound heaps better. Do the rears next week. Just put some 6 1/2's in there as well....... Not sure which ones though, something with a bit of bass.... Any ideas??

System is now complete.. for all those who are skeptical on a full install with an FG MK2 and the ICC.. dont be!! a crazy stereo can be fitted with ZERO static and buzzing.. Elite Car Audio fitted the install and its the loudest stereo I have ever had.. all stereo components are running of the Audison Bit Ten and it sounds amazing! Was almost going to do the extra headunit mod, but have no need to anymore with this system.. Type r speakers in all doors, hertz HD4 amp, Ground Zero Amplifier & 2 x Ground Zero 12" 1000RMS DVC subwoofers in a custom ported enclosure & offcourse the Audison running it all

well this is the second stereo that's gone in it (first stereo didnt have the Audison) cost me all up around $3k. Ive put the first stereo in the mrs car so worked out pretty good lol its so f*ckin loud now I cant even listen to it at max volume it makes your head hurt but it sounds soo good. My rear view mirror just does 360's all day haha. I must recommend Elite Car Audio to all you guys, very professional and they really know there stuff. Just wondering if anyone has successfully fitted 6x9s in the standard rear housing of a FG Ute.

Putting some in mine, with customization im guessing, anyone have any tips?

adding sub/ mono-amp to FG (done to death, I know)

hearing people pick up from B pillar and run to a line converter.

my amp (Rockford fosgate P400X1) has high level inputs, with a remote turn on circuit. the idea is, you don't run a separate trigger wire. kind of handy.

so, being a sub, which wont play high frequency, I shouldn't have to worry about 'noise' and as such the high level inputs should be fine.

the question is, where should I get the signal from?
if I get it at the B pillar, I'd have to grab it from each side, and run them both to the amp, yes?

otherwise, left/right noise might be missed in some songs.

even better, where can I access plugs for those speaker signals, so I don't have to cut/splice/solder/etc, and instead can run the new amp wires into the same plug as the speakers.
