  1. Hi XtRmn8, Stainless, dual tip. I will try an get a video up soon. Car passed a roadworthy (VIC) with the exhaust on.
  2. Just a follow up to this thread..I ended up going with a X-Force turbo back exhaust 4" dump - 3.5". Sounds great. Not as loud as I thought it would be.
  3. Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what oil pressure the ford fg xr6 turbo's should be getting. I have a oil pressure gauge connected to an oil filter sandwich plate and I'm getting around 50 psi. Does anyone know if it should be higher or lower? Im also usin 0w40 castrol edge oil but im thinking of going a 15w40 as recommended by ford. Cheers
  4. Just wanting to know if it is possible. I do have a boost gauge connected. I never would have thought it would be this hard to adjust a bov. Just about ready to throw it in the bin. As per the instructions, I've adjusted it so that the piston is not open during idle. Is this the correct way to adjust them or is it OK if they are open on idle.
  5. I have recently installed a turbosmart kompact dual port blow off valve on my car. I have made it full atmospheric. My car is running 20 PSI. I have two questions: 1. Under lower boost levels eg < 8 PSI, I will get the turbo surge/flutter sound, anything above that will get the bov sound. Is this normal or should I adjust? If so tighter or more loose? currently have 4 shims. 2. Also wanting to know, is it possible for the bov to leak of make the car lose power? And if so, would this be caused by the BOV being adjusted too tightly or too lose?
  6. I also noticed this graph was done in 3rd gear.
  7. Tuner is Electronic Automotive. I have a Autotecnica intercooler (460H x 430W;8 5mm > 70mm > 55mm). Turbo needed to be rebuilt (making excessive noise and something gave way), just to factory specifications. I have attached a copy of my dyno graph.
  8. Hi, Hoping someone can shed some more light or point me in the right direction here. I have a FG XR6 Turbo auto. My car made 312rwkw with the following mod list: 4" dump - 3.5" turbo back exhaustCold air intake (pod enclosure)Larger intercoolerRebuilt turbo12 PSI Actuatorid1000 injectorsWalbro 400 LPH in-tank fuel pumpIntercooler piping w/muffler deleteValve springsSCT XCAL 3 tuned on 98 The tuner said the car was pinging up high so he had to lower the boost and couldn't add as much timing. He even tried adding octane booster to see if it would help. I would have thought with the mods mentioned I would expect to see 330 - 350rwkw. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? Cheers.
  9. Hi guys, does anyone know how to get rid or reduce the hissing noise when upgrading the speakers and installing an amplifier in an FG? Cheers.
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm probably going to go with a 4" dump, into twin 2.5" exhaust.
  11. Hi, I have a fg xr6 turbo. Looking at getting an x-force cat back exhaust. deciding between a twin 2.5" cat back or single 3.5" cat back. hoping someone can help me with a few questions: 1. Does anyone know which exhaust is louder; twin 2.5" cat back or single 3.5" cat back. 2. Will a re-tune be required. 3. Which exhaust will make more power?
  12. Hi guys, I'm new to the Ford scene (previously owned a commodore)...Seems strange that their is so few cruises and meet ups organised. Am I looking in the wrong places or whats the go? PM's welcome... It would be good to see a Ford Turbo cruise happening..
  13. Thanks for all your input. I will be setting up a custom turbo back system..
  14. I'm chasing around 300rwkw. I'm just going by my tuners advise with the exhaust setup.
  15. Hi, As the title suggests, I'm after a quiet 3.5" cat back stainless steel exhaust. I have a '09 XR6 Turbo Sedan. Any suggestions? or personal experiences? Cheers.
