  1. With peak torque from 1500rpm all the way to 5500, and with somewhere between 170 and 205 kw and between 320 to 380 nm it will have no problems moving a 1600 odd kg Falcon. Ford do not have a DSG that will handle the torque of the F6. The torqiest engine its fitted too makes 320 nm in the Focus diesel, and as far as I know they aren't making any high torque versions.
  2. Couldn't be more wrong. Having a 4 cylinder opens up a massive market for them selling to government fleets who have bans on cars with 6 cylinders or more. Many private fleets also have these bans. Also allows export opportunities.
  3. Its nothing to do with the new V8, its called a Boss 302 because that's its power output, but apparently its the same 315kw engine as the GT. The quoted lower power is to not offend GT owners.
  4. ECU only controls spark, not fuel delivery on E Gas engines, so the scope for tuning is limited.
  5. You can pay for an 599XX, but you can't actually own one, you can only drive it on selected Ferrari track days, and they keep it for you.
  6. Thens it not factory then is it, which is the whole point of the thing.
  7. Its a limited run build, designed to boost sales. No different to what HSV have done with the limited run of stripped out VE Senators that were 10k less than the Senator Signiture. I think they built 100 of them. It offers a cheaper entry into an FPV. A least FPV don't sell an Astra VXR. Now that's bloody ridiculous.
  8. One model will be the FPV GS, a cheaper version of the GT based on an XR8. Will be called a Boss 302, but word is that's only marketing talk to not upset GT owners, cause its supposed to have the full monty 315. Rumoured to be 300 sedans, 100 utes.
  9. The Audi S4 is supercharged, not twin turbo like the 335i.
  10. More in-accurate reporting. FPV should have one blown version across the whole range, and that's it. XR8 should get the 300 kw NA version straight from the Mustang GT.
  11. Next years GT engine.
  12. My mate spoke to one of FPV engineers who mentioned they were working with Eaton, which is no suprise as they do the majority of OE supercharger production ie. Jag R models, GT500, ZR1 etc. There's no 5.8 litre version, I don't know where Wheels got that from but there's just the 5 litre and that's it. They planned to do a 5.8 litre version when Coyote was in first stages of planning but when gas prices rose high they dropped all other versions and just kept the one, also helped keep costs down considering their financial position.
  13. Forget the GTHO, there isn't one, neither is there a 5.8 litre version. But FPV's V8's will BLOW HSV away. FPV trademarked the GS name last year I think. It must be one of the special editions coming out later in the year. On past performance it will probably be another sticker pack.

Nope, he's correct, Wheels are full of crap. There is no 5.8 litre version of Coyote, but there is a higher performance version called Road Runner with a bit more power for Mach 1 and Bullit Mustangs, but we won't get it AFAIK. Also the Coyote doesn't have direct injection, it won't be ready for at least another 2 years, but its good for at least another 10% power, 2012 Mustang should have it. Also no GTHO. Its not even in planning. They look at it from time to time but can never get it off the drawing board. They had a few 5.4 litre SC GT500 engines for it running around but it musn't have made it past the costing stage before it got scrapped. Running out of emmisions compliance and out of production was probably also a factor. The GT will more than likely make HO levels of grunt anyway, it should probably keep a W427 close if it can get the torque down.
  15. What I was referring to applies to lowered utes only. Ford do not care what happens after you have modified the suspension. Herrods fix applies to utes that have been lowered only. They recognised a problem and know how to get around it. SCATRD - I've forgotten what the problem is, you'd have to ask them.
  16. It should be available across the whole V8 FPV range. The F6 will probably not gain much, depending on what they need to do to it to get Euro 4 compliance. It may not get any extra power at all, but when it already beats HSV's that doesn't really matter. The GT will take up the role of the performance leader, as it should, not only due to its history but also because of it being the higher seller. The current sales split is something like 62:38 in favour of V8 FPV sales Vs F6 sales. so FPV are more likely to focus more on the V8 than the 6. FPV have had enough of the GT not only having sand kicked in its face by HSV, but also by the F6. They want the GT to regain its crown.
  17. True that. Rarely see an episode where some guy doesn't get pounded. Very disturbing.
  18. Ask and you shall recieve, FPV have not been sitting on their hands. The Walkinshaw supercharger is not a factory offering, it is an aftermarket upgrade no different from say an APS Phase III kit, it just has the advantage of an aftermarket warranty and the fact HSV will turn a blind eye to it, making it a almost a semi factory offering.
  19. Herrod have uncovered the issue with lowered FG utes and have a fix for it.
  20. HSV wish it will only be 325kw. It will probably make that at the wheels.
  21. Venom XR6 replied to bluute's topic in FPV & Tickford
They wanted at least 100 serious expressions of interest/deposits before they put it into production, and they don't have that yet. If they do get enough it will go into production, but its probably not going to happen.
  22. OK douchebag. You've used it for a year so that means it won't cause long term damage in say 10 years time?. Did you even read what I said. You can't point out one thing I said and then say every point I made was a lie. Are you retarded? How can the fact that you can only buy it at less than 10 servos across Australia be a lie, when it is a fact. Get a clue mate.
  23. Stronger tailshafts aren't that expensive, and combined with billet CV's and stronger centres you can buy like the Harrop true trac, it will make a fairly strong rear end, but then you will probably get to a point where the diff mount bushes will last about 2 seconds though. I don't think anyone has found a high strength solution to that yet, if there is even a way to fix it bar solid mounting it.
  24. There are stronger versions of the ZF 6 speed available, the HP28 or 32 I think Vs our HP26, but they are physically bigger and how would you run them? They are used in the 1000nm twin turbo 6.75 litre V8 Bentleys. There are aftermarket controllers you can buy for them but only for specific versions, they haven't got one for the Falcons ZF. Can't remember the name of the company that makes them though.
  25. True. Its not hard to make a murder look like a suicide. I've seen the Kurt and Courtney movie too, where the guy they question seems to know a little too much about it to not be involved. From memory Courtney paid him to do it.
