  1. Just got over the man flu, having a beer at finlay's brewery..... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  2. Not bad for a fat 59 year old.... [emoji3] If I haven't had any alcohol for a few days my heart rate will get down to 44 - 45 when I'm in deep sleep. Drunk, sometimes it doesn't go below low 70s. If I have a triple shot coffee or an energy drink it will get up to 115 while I'm doing nothing... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  3. That sort of wear is generally caused by damaged/bent suspension. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  4. The coast road to Northampton is not bad, then back via adjana road is a good loop. Possibly a counter lunch at pub... [emoji3] No alcohol though, I never drink at all when riding, not even one... Fat bob is not a traditional harley, more I think for us older persons transitioning from fast bikes..... Im not a harley person as such, but the reflexes aren't what they were. I sold my jap bikes and ducati diavel and bought the fat bob as I liked the look. I really wanted a BMW r18, but because of the boxer design your feet are locked in place, no good for long rides. At least with harley I have 3 positions for feet.. The original pipes look like they came off a ducati... . Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  5. Going to load the fat bob on the trailer, ready to head to Kalbarri tomorrow.... Lots more corners up there, all straight boring roads around Kalgoorlie.. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  6. Sounds like a worn tensioner or idler, try taking off serpentine belt and see if it goes away... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  7. Err, I bought new springs and shocks. Old ones went in the bin.... You obviously have no idea how crappy WA roads are, once you leave perth... A lowered car with low profile tyres is just not practical as a daily. No way I'm going to do a regular drive of over 1000km on country roads in a lowered car... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  8. I just put stock height kings and kyb gas all round in mine. Lowered cars are just no good on our sh*t roads. It had ssl springs all round and aftermarket 20s on it when I bought it. Looked nice but not practical, especially on 1000km + days. It handles and rides much better now, it was a bit floaty above 160 before. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  9. I recently bought a holiday house in Kalbarri, probably going to retire there. Got it all set up, not sure whether to rent it out or just keep it as a holiday home. 8 minutes walk to the pubs, 9 minutes to the beach... These new tenancy laws suck for landlords.... 10. I regularly drive from Kalgoorlie to Kalbarri, about 11 hours.... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  11. Hmm, don't get lunch from the wubin Truckstop... Ruined my Thursday morning...... [emoji58] Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  12. I just did a return trip to Kalbarri in the fg Ute fitted with kayhan v4 unit with 'Android auto' dongle with my aa wireless plugged in. Vehicle has upgraded door speakers and an under seat powered sub. Nothing too expensive. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, wireless Android auto worked fine and the integration with the fg is very good. The only bug is when you do a short stop the unit sometimes didn't recognise the dongle on power up, easily fixed with a reboot. I'm assuming it goes into sleep mode for a preset time, should be fixable in settings somewhere. The interesting thing is how they have inserted their app in between Android auto and the firmware. The hardware specs support wireless Android auto natively. I suspect the main reason is so they can charge for it... Flashing alternative firmware would enable Android auto but would lose the integration. Interestingly the app fixes one of the biggest bugs in Android auto, after a phone call you have to manually return to navigation or whatever screen you were using. With the kayhan an incoming call appears as an overlay on the current screen and navigation runs in the background and continues uninterrupted after the call ends. The hardware is probably worth half of what they charge, but the integration with the Ford canbus is what you are paying for. Ive been comparing it with the high end unit in my g6e, sound quality on the kayhan is not as good, but the integration is better... I'd have to say I'm pretty impressed all round, I suspect the V5 unit would be even better. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  13. She'd was 2k to two pack epoxy coat. Worth every cent, especially with a couple of old vehicles.... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  14. 10.5m x 4.1m $4600 cash.... My shed slab was 12 x 8, $9000 cash a couple of years ago... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  15. Had a concrete drive poured yesterday, with a pad for sliding gate motor Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  16. Yes.... It's not much more expensive to go for an aerpro and a proper head unit. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  17. A while ago I had a kayhan v4 installed in one of the work Utes, a mk1 1 tonner, with a powered sub under the passenger seat. It was before the V5 was released. It wasn't being used, so I grabbed it the other day to use as my runaround, and started sorting out the unit. The climate control popup wasn't working so I did a firmware and mcu upgrade, everything good. My next project was getting wireless Android auto going via the supplied dongle and an aawireless unit I kept when I sold my trackhawk. It was already paired with my phone, so after confirming wired Android auto was working I plugged it in. No problem, takes maybe 20 seconds to boot and connect, maybe a little longer than with the jeep head unit. Everything works fine, I think the kayhan units are a bit expensive for what they are, I expect the V5 with native wireless Android auto/car play would be a neater solution. So if you have a v4 and want wireless Android auto, the aawireless unit works perfectly. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  18. 8", anything that fits will be an improvement on the factory one Upgrade the speakers as well and it will be a huge improvement without going overboard. I went a bit overboard with my upgrade, hertz sub, audio frog speakers etc. Really shines when you crank it up though. At my age I should know better... Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  19. Triumph rocket 3, 2.3l triple. I doubt any Norton ever has made more than 50hp....[emoji3] Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk

  21. I had je pistons in a stage 3 supercharged rocket 3 I built a few years ago, not a single issue with them @ 390 rwhp. Sent from my CPH2305 using Tapatalk
  22. I was going to suggest the pan pacific, as I stayed there a couple of times when I went to concerts next door at the plenary, although it was a Hilton then.... It was a few years ago, but it was excellent and a really good central location with lots of bars within staggering distance.... Sent from my SM-X200 using Tapatalk
