congrats mate.. im getting married november and heading to fiji for a month.. as a dead keen surfer my chick new the destination had to have waves NO MATTER WHAT! staying out near tavarua(one of worlds best surf breaks) on malolo island for 2 weeks.. 4-5 star.. you actually book what time you surf so its not crowded.. right next door to the tom hanks castaway island.. got a few days booked staying there too.. they just drop you off with food and water and you "survivor" for a few days! already told the cook shes gunna be nude for those days as they book the whole island for you for a price then a bit more budget for a week on south coast at hideaway resort.. another place with a wave right in front of resort and a huge rep for pertying hard after dark on the kava.. stay away from suva unless you have to.. the place is run by dodgy indians.. what dates you going? we got a car for half the month and are gunna explore.. when we booked the fare was only $600 return from perth with stopover in sydney for the night accom is a bit more exxy though.. I cant even fly to bali(3hrs from perth) for that cheap! dave

we had a magna over here in perth for a while.. and it was widely spread on forums with pics and rego numbers.. and most of those forums have a cop or two as members!

I love my new t ute.. but I drove a neighbours new maloo 6ltr that had 1300km on it.. it was quick but not "holy sh*t" quick.. bloody nice car but $78k all up! neighbour still likes mine more for cabin room haha

gramlights would be nearly $5k without rubber.. bought rims from these guys before.. works joy the wait can be a killer for shipping from japan via sea container.. like 2-4 months!

I've seen some on Ebay for $210 AUS plus about $20-30 freight. ← try your local install "specialists" and ask how much per metre off the roll.. they buy bulk and its rediculously cheap.. I think my whole ute cost me $70 and I used equivilant to 2.5 heavy duty paks.. its not like the weight is gunna matter

I dont think ford have a hope in hell of stopping them.. FPV patent for 2 gauge instead of 1.. one tiny diff (like 5 indents on bezel instead of 6) and thier patent cant stop them producing.. surely FPV realise if they wont sell to xr6t buyers then an aftermarket company will.. havent they ever heard of JDM, SS or our friend on this thread?

no special box for me, I just made the biggest bas*ard I could fit behind the passenger seat to suit the 15' sub. sealed enclosure probly about 2 cubes. going to make a new one soon to put my 2nd 15' in. one is going behind the passenger seat and the other will sit right in the middle. we're gunna have to do alot of fart assin around to get the right volume as we are gunna try make this one a ported setup. aiming for about 40hz. ← sounds mad.. I see windscreens popping and trim exploding roughly what size could I get away with for a 12" and which way to face it? it's facing forwards and into the seat which obviously muffles it a fair bit..

I really need some help from the guru's on this site.. Ive been chasing a FPV pod but with no luck.. there's one on e-bay for nearly $400 already which is crazy.. tried a few dealers with the usual result.. so if anyone can help me get one there will be a reward of some kind in it for them! if not ive been thinking about going with miss ally's pod.. anyone got a pic with the new ones she's selling? and with the gauges should I go for boost and oil press in electric or mech? or a combo? please help an ex ricer.. trough lolley... where is your sub mounted and how big? my 12" is behind passengers seat but in a non-custom box.. it just fit in there from last car so I chucked it in.. would like some pics/ideas on good accoustic sub mounting ideas.. I dynomatted when I got the 6x9's and the 6"splits.. I just went to mates shop and cut it off his heavy duty roll.. did the whole cabin and doors.. even braced up speaker supports with mdf.. so much quieter on the road and heaps deeper sounds.. didnt cost me much when they get it in 100m rolls!

cause im pretty tall I think im a bit higher in the seat.. and after a huge ironing board on the back of last car its nice not to look through a skinny gap.. my rice burner 05STI had way too much money spent on it.. when I put it back to stock to trade for the ute I sold the parts, my missuss found out how much all those little bits "really" cost! I had 3 turbo's in boxes with about 1000km's on each.. absolutely love the new ford guys..

its more like dark charcoal/titanium with the heaps of fleck in the daylight.. its really metallic.. the most metallic ford have ever used before I got told by the dp.. it does reflect whatevers nearby so it changes colour a little.. yeah I think some green is coming fron the grass.. near my mums gold mazda it looks bronze! not having a ute without a hump I wouldnt know the diff but vis is ok out the back.. thanks guys for the vote of confidence.. its a worry when you order a car with just a sample of the colour on a door skin! dave

well friday the dealer rang me and the new ute was in and ready to pick-up.. was the first time id even seen EGO on a ute before, they only had a terra in that colour which I loved and ordered.. only took 4 weeks delivery from the day I ordered.. will chuck some pics up in next few days but I luv it! getting limo tint and new ANZ Velvet 18x9/10's during the week so ill post some good shots then.. and that zf box is the best auto ive driven.. even though I hate auto's this ones killa! I dont think ive had it in D since I got it.. perf mode all the way!

that protection sh#t actually enhances the swirl marks mate I had mine removed on a late model 05 by a black car detailer specialist($800) for when I was doing car shows and drag meets.. he came from the mercedes detail centre in germany and he was good.. he showed me the diff between paint protection swirls and normal paint swirls.. and you cant get paint protection of very easy, hence the bill.. worked the car for 18hrs getting it mirror finish and used only zylol(?)swedish brand.. had a $4000 tub of wax finish like the guy on topgear! hand application only

yeah I got that mate but wheres the take-off from the dyno ramp point? wot gear are they normally done in for manual and auto 6 speeds? and wot was done from before to after? im a newby with fords but have had my previous car dyno'd too many times to remember.. sponsor for dyno dynamics almost? ← and is 600Nm the wheel figure torque calculated? or the dyno's tractive effort? sorry but never seen dyno printouts likem from rolling or hub dyno's

wot sizes are you using guys? with just a rear does it promote oversteer or not? with a front does it create less understeer or just less roll?

Now that is a brilliant level of customer service... and with regards to price, there has never been a better quote other than 'You get what you pay for'... How is the MY05 STi now? Jack ← was good jack before I put it back to stock and sold it was making 217kw at all four and 480nm.. only managed a mid 12 but had dramas getting the bloody thing off the line.. all 4 drift or bog it down! quickest thing thru a corner or chicane ive ever been in(MC of course).. cant wait for my new bft ute with the zf.. got sick of peddling thru 6 close ratio gears in the sti.. it was hard work!

used MRT a fair bit with my 05 sti.. when I had probs with my ecu they courier'd it from perth to syd, then to uk then back to me in only 3 days.. and it went well! good products, heaps of r&d but pretty expensive..
