Scratch X is the go. Even though my car is shockwave I could see some faint swirls in the paint. I polished some on let it dry then buffed it off once I finished this I put another coat of wax on it.

Looks really good now

Bloody blk paint :spoton: In the sun my GT is starting to get what look to be some sort of polish mark and slight swirling marks on it,its never been through a car wash and has had regular polishing and also the car had the sentry paint protection done from new and its showing line like you can see where the polishing has stoped all in different spots(hard to explain properly)

My question is how can I get the paint back to the way it was delieverd as I dont know what more I can do :spoton:

.. and don't apply polish or use Scratch-X on your car by hand with circular movements, regardless of when the destructions say. Straight lines are the go :useless:

Good point mate. Have you changed polish. I have only polished by black T once and the same thing happened. Black cars are hard work!!!! FORD POWER has a 04' black T and it still looks great (might be worth a PM!)

get a scratch/swirl remover.. Maguires Scratch-X should do the trick.

apply it with an application pad and buff it off. be careful as I dunno whether it will affect the clear-coat on the car or not.

I to have this problem. My car is washed weekly with a seperate sponge to the wheels etc and the car is waxed probably every 6 months but it just seems that no matter how careful I am the swirls are slowly appearing. My car has only been buffed once and that was in pre-delivery where they all get done. I've been steering clear of any buffing to try and stop this scratched look. Kinda looks like millions of faint spider webs on your paint. I would love to know how to eliminate it.

I only use a wool mitten to wash the cars, but still get light marks that you still see in the paint. I get my cars detailed every 6 months and he masks the car up and uses an orbital to apply the polishes and waxes which takes about 8 hours. the cars come out absolutely perfect under both natural light and fluros. The way the cars come out of pre delivery is very poor, clear coat protections are a waste of time
