  1. Well, we (cruze and me) finally finished the enclosure last night. It's not trimmed as yet, so no pics, but when we get it all sorted I'll make sure we get some. At the moment the subs are running off the factory amp, so once I get an idea of what sort of signal is fed from the ICC into the factory amp I'll decide how best to proceed with getting the Reference 300 wired in.
  2. Why not pick up the line level signal off the factory amp input, then run that into the aftermarket amp? Would get a better signal that way, and one less component to add noise. One thing that I have noticed though - from just listening it looks like the factory sub gets a full-range signal, although I can't confirm completely as I don't have a 'scope.
  3. They do. It's up close to the block and is a water-cooled job. I know this because mine broke, mixing coolant in with the trans fluid .....
  4. Songbird? Foobar2000 for tweakers
  5. Someone found Failblog huh?
  6. Dobinson springs .. they are regularly on Ebay too
  7. Same thing happened to me, Ford replaced the trans no questions.
  8. Tuesday would be fine for me ... can skip up there after work
  9. Try posting as a jpeg rather than a bitmap
  10. Agree with what everyone has said - was a good night (even if I was running a bit late) and my old man was very impressed with the GT and the ute
  11. Since my car in on a maintained lease, I have to get tyres from Beaurepairs (ugh), so I stumped for the Dunlop Sport Maxx. I'm very impressed with them, can't recall the exact price though.
  12. Argh! Had to organise a cruise that day, didn't you. :banghead: It's my missus' birthday, and if I were to go cruising , well ...... I'll see what I can do
  13. I'm in ... + 1 please!
  14. Current polish is the Turtle Wax F21, it leaves a nice finish, so I think it might be the wax that's letting me down (Turlte Wax Platinum liquid). How'd you know if a wax has fillers or not?
  15. What do you recommend for metallic paint (such as Merc. Silver). It's fairly simple to get a shine, but I want some depth to the finish. I've tried a few products (Turtle Wax Ultimate and Bowdens Own) but I think that the finish could be better than I've acheived so far. Is the Autoglym sealer any good, especially considering some of the imported stuff (like the products sold on waxit) is very close in price.
  16. Power Ford @ Castle Hill - 7/10 - customer care is very good though City Ford @ Darlinghurst - 4/10 .. Power Ford "felt" better, better customer service, didn't feel so rushed to get the car in and out
  17. This is for real ... I've seen the video (no, don't ask)
  18. It also helps the trans fluid to come up to operating temp quickly.
  19. ... and it only works on about four models of car at the moment. Wonder if they'd ever do it for the Falc? (I doubt it)
