Yahoo has taken over what was once one of THE best music player/burner/organizer around, the major problem I now have is tagging tracks freely and easily does anyone know of a good alternative that is up to the standard of Musicmatch without the ferkin pay per month shite that Yahoo as turned it into?

My fingers are getting tired from CrtlC/CrtlVing... :makedeal:

Yahoo have made complete sh*te out of what was once a fantastic service. Upgrading from Musicmatch to Yahoo is like going from Adobe Photoshop and upgrading to Microsoft Paint! :makedeal: Not too many things make me angry but this one really did. Makes you want to consider becoming a Postal worker for the day :buttrock:

Not only does the tagging not come across, half the functionality of Musicmatch is gone.....

Anyway...... I blew away the Yahoo crap and reinstalled Musicmatch, which still works perfectly. It still connects to the CDDB etc, the only problem will be in the future when it is no longer compatible with the OS.

Do you still have the software for MM Dags? I am still using version 10.00.4033 which is a 27Mb exe.

Still running Musicmatch but it wont connect to the CDDB might give it a re-instal and see how it goes, need to do it anyway to get rid of the Yahoo ad crap out of it as well... :buttrock:

For those that may be interested:

Stop MusicMatch Yahoo Popup Update.

Open MMJB click Options-->settings, then select the General tab, and uncheck the "periodic update box". Now click the tab "CD lookup/Connectivity", and check "Disable Internet connection Check". Click OK and close MMJB. Now for the fun part, goto these locations on your computer:

C:\Program Files\Musicmatch\Musicmatch Jukebox and delete the following folders- Html and Websys

C:\Program Files\Musicmatch\Musicmatch Update\MMJB and delete the following folders Html, Websys, UPSELL.

Make sure to empty your recycle bin. Now reinstall MMJB 10. You should remain/be pop-up free.
