I could be wrong too but I'm pretty sure its around the time badxr6 did a 12.3 with a T56 that he put in. It was the record for the manual for a while.

Oh and I got a 13.5 with only 280rwkw. Last time I went out with 330 I blew the CV so there is a 12 in it for sure.

I think I'm at the limit for sure. Any more and it will go. Clutch has everything to do with it I reckon. Organic is the way to go. Back in the ol' days Street tuna (forum name) pulled a 12.3 with the T5, he didn't have much power either.

When I fitted mine (before the PW cooler) I drove around with it without a tune for ages. Then when I put it on the dyno albeit with a typhoon style CAI it leaned out and they had to abort the run. I'd get it on there just to be safe.

I reckon you can do it with the T5. Depends if he is running a top loader or a auto too.

I think you might be doing it wrong. Select the slot you want - 1 2 or 3, then hold down the program key until the lights flash. It should then load your selected tune. I think you might be missing the program button bit. Try that.

I built a Mk2 Cortina when I was a bit younger. 2lt escort motor, twin webbers, hot cam, head work, C4 gearbox and capri running gear. It was awesome and I loved it. It ended up getting stolen but I got it back and it was ruined. I was devistated. Good luck with the build mate, if you use a TE the motor will fit no worries. What box are you going to use?

I run a T5 with 330rwkw with an organic clutch and have for ages now. Depends on your tune and clutch I think. If you run ceramic it will blow.

Why not ask Mal for a group buy price on new and reconditioned T56's. The kit will come with everything you need.

So what's the story, will it bolt straight in and all you will need is the XR8 yoke?
