  1. I'd say the F6 turbo but its really hard to quantify Maybe trav in mackay can post up some dyno sheets from his G6? Pretty sure it ran a F6 turbo before the baby GTX
  2. Lee at real dyno here in brisbane had a paddle shift setup I was told.
  3. Me too. But alas no dice. Didnt see it with my own two eyes but usually the guy who works on my car is very switched on
  4. Hey mate I have a complete set of ba bf brembos and brackets that was going to go on my FG. Did you end up getting your brackets?
  5. BA one wouldnt fit my FG cos of where swaybar bolts on to BA/BF is different on FG. I suggestedy tuner just mod the tank to suit but he wasnt keen and told me to source the FG one
  6. old_mate replied to Bellato's topic in Brakes
I have remsa's and king matrix wheels, what a absolute pain the arse of a setup. I have tried the cheap way of degreaser/truck wash/pressure cleaning and had ok results Iron x worked well Bowdens wheely clean works just as well and is easy to get (Autobarn and the like) so yeah, I just use that now and im happy! Hose on, quick brush in the hard to get bits, hose off, drink beer
  7. On the street - cant fault them except the pads are dusty as. If I didnt regularly take the car out for a good chop I'd leave the brakes as they are. Another option might be the c5 or c6 caliper I upgrade as found on BA BF non brembo premium brakes. I had these on my old SS with good pads and rotors and they were very good on the street. Not sure of anyone has bolted them onto a FG yet?
  8. I have a pretty basic setup - Remsa pads and RDA slotted rotors with some Mainlube brake fluid. They took an absolute hiding at Queensland Raceway last happy laps, and whilst braking performance was average at best after three flat out laps I never lost the pedal like some blokes would. Was fairly stoked with how they held up actually. Having said that, Brembo's aren't too far away. I am fortunate enough to have rims that clear brembos.
  9. Do you need to get yourself a static IP address?
  10. if not hertz moreal maximo or crescendo opus 1 get rave reviews around that price point, key is getting a speaker with good sensitivity (assuming running off stock ICC) Im looking to spend my tax dollars on one of these three options myself
  11. that's awesome, do want one of my own
  12. Only the mods that wouldn't pass through RTA. Im captain obvious to the rescue. Pretty much if its too low, loud with shiny bits of big intercooler and piping and it screams im modded, NRMA could refuse any claim. It would only take a good assessor to get wise and make life hard but im actually yet to hear anyone have any dramas. I was talking to a assessor recently about this when getting a company ute fixed and he had a look at my G6ET. I have got a bigger turbo, process west cooler etc but kept an airbox and factory crossover. Turbo is painted black and cooler pipes are hammertone black. He looked at it and would have questioned the exhaust cos of the big dump pipe and obvious different tail pipe but wouldn't be, in his words 'too concerned about finding illegal modifications to void a claim'. He also said he was aware a ford dealer could identify if the ecu had been 'adjusted for performance' - what that means I have nfi as QLD dont have emissions testing yet and a tune doesn't necessarily make it illegal. I wouldn't be too worried with my car if I got this assessor or someone like him, unless I had obviously punched it into a pole or something being a dickhead. Im currently with RACQ but need that changed this week because they laughed when I tried to update my details following latest mods
  13. My Mr turbo 3540 has the same curve on the dyno up to 3400rpm as the little FG turbo did (and I have a 0.7 cover). Wont flow as much as a GTX but that doesn't concern me. I would give Mark at Mr turbo a call. Very very switched on dude.
  14. What ratter said. My G6E was another car that only just saw 300rwkw with all the supporting mods, most up here will spin up 310-330 on 18psi falling to 15. I fixed it by changing valve springs and turbo
  15. Define perfect picture quality Even the best analogue camera at 4CIF is nothing to a 720p image, let alone 3 or 5 megapixel. Digital or IP Camera's mean you can digitially zoom on the saved video without it pixelating. as an example I can now cover say three or four pumps at a servo with one high res IP camera zoomed a fair way out compared to the good old days of one analogue camera per pump. Anyways, this thread is about home security so whilst IP may be still slightly out of reach for now, analogue is dead and it wont be too far down the track I am selling fixed lens 720p IP cameras for under $200.
  16. Yep I have, painted the muffler black as well looks good in my humble opinion. Didnt cut the pipe flush with resr bumber as everyone I spoke to told me it would melt the bar so left it protruding about 15mm or so. Put tips in shed incase I change my mind later
  17. Yes its a complete CHRA and the 0.5 cover can be utilised if machined. I have a 0.7 on mine. Hasn't yet made much more than a F6 turbo (made 380rwkw with turbo side intake on 19psi) but that was using vortex fuel and not a lot of timing. Going back shortly with some BP fuel, should take a bit more timing and going to add a little more boost. Vevapower and welshy recommended this turbo to me and im glad they did
  18. I have a mr turbo billet wheel turbo (same size as F6) and it spools just as hard as my factory FG GT3576r did. Was like 1150 fitted up to my supplied housings. I love the thing.
  19. Who did the zf tune? There arw a few out there who shouldn't be touching them
  20. I have been made aware of two cars up here in brisbane - one with precision 6266 and a GTX3582r. Both running external gates. One came from spiro just before he passed and the other source unknown but it looked the same as the DLM. The car with the precision turbo - a FG spun 360 rwkw at 18psi. The GTX car was a BF and spun 340rwkw at 17psi. Both vehicle's have been on the same dyno. Both owners are now looking to change the rear housing setups. Im not smart enough nor have I seen these gates myself to understand the issues but the tuner involved (one car was one he did and the other came in from another shop) is pretty confident this housing setup was bad. Same dyno has seen other GTX equipped cars run over 400rwkw several times using modified factory rear housings retaining the internal gate and a couple of external gate setups with the factor housing modded properly. Whats the RRP on the precision? Joe from CMS does the GTX for $1600 minus rear housing
  21. haha, I couldnt do anything half decent for that amount of money - that's chinese hardware territory that. A decent four camera install can range from 1600 to 4k. A lot of the better camera's these days come with SD card slots so no need to plug into a NVR or PC - apps control them. Cops don't bother with crap video quality anymore. even a cheapo NVR with a couple of terabyte of storage costs a few hundred. Then there is power supply, camera, cable etc etc. There are ebay specials that come in a lot less. Best of luck!
  22. how much don't you want to spend? my mob supplies/installs all CCTV hardware to woolworths nationally, I personally would not touch any of the swann/logitech chinese crap you can buy, then again I understand not everyone wants to pay $200 for a reasonable analogue camera let alone <$500 for a megapixel IP camera No cheapies can do night time recording properly. Proper IR illumination is the go.
  23. Yep had my centre muff out for two days before another muffler went back in, now full xforce
  24. Let us know how u went and what you spent, see if the extra zero makes an appearance
  25. I had mine done under stat warranty
