Hey guys just wondering if you have any recommendations on speaker to upgrade my g6et, not looking for anything crazy just a bit of an upgrade over the factory ones.

Throw a set of hertz splits on the front and Hertz components in the rear and you'll be happy with the out come.

Be careful of the cheaper Hertz speakers on ebay, they are knockoffs, got caught last year. The refunded my money and let me keep the speakers!

Dodgy bastards! Go to a reputable stereo shop to get them in that case!

Maybe go to a car audio shop and listen to some that you like in your price range with your own music, that westside car audio place seems to stock a good range of quality stuff

Hertz etc are good but will set you back a few more dollars than some mass produced jb hifi gear

moreal maximo or crescendo opus 1 get rave reviews around that price point, key is getting a speaker with good sensitivity (assuming running off stock ICC)

Infinitys have a good range of clarity and wont hurt your pocket too much.

I had the reference series in my last car. They were very very good.

I bought a pair of Clarion speakers. They are supposed to fit into the FG factory holes. How hard is it to remove the speaker grilles and old speakers?

You don't remove grills you remove the entire door trim. The speakers are then attached with 3 small hex head screws from memory and they just unplug from the loom

These clarions really go straight in the factory mounting holes?

Thanks for the info. They must fit straight in - the sales guy said so! ;-) I bought them at Summer Nats from a crowd based in Blacktown. They told me to drop round if I have problems. But I guess they will charge!
