  1. too much fuel= dead cat?? am not sure but one would think too much fuel would be bad for the cat, especially for prolonged use ← This is correct. will the tuner program the flash tuner to allow these injectors to be used so you can then drive to him(dont go racing)for a custom. I'm sure this could be done.I'm not sure anyone WILL do it though.

what tyre type(slicks or road) and tyre size at time of failures? are there any stronger units yet?
  3. kawerx replied to geea's topic in Suspension and Handling
its like a big uni joint on the driveshaft between the diff housing and the rear wheel.
  4. Yes,should be pretty much spot on.
  5. can you still climb ularu? I also am heading to the nt from melbourne next month.want to see the rock, kings canyon, kakado, also flinders rangers, far northQld,NSW. do you think this is too far in 1 month.

Did they write off the mazda or not? iv heard the damage has to exceed 75% of the value of the car. so if you have agrred value dont make it too high or they will never write off your car. I dont think that looks like 20 grands damage.evan at mazdoos stoopid prices. $900.00 for a window reg, what a joke. fords rock.probably get 2 doors for $900.00

you will need a 10mm and a 13mm spanners to remove battery.

if you do need to jump start the car do it in this order. 1. positive lead on battery of the car with flat battery. 2. positve lead on battery of car with good battery 3. negative on battery of car with good battery. 4. negative on engine of car with flat battery. (the lifting eye on the t's engine is perfect for this) remove in reverse order. Also turn on the park lights of both cars. that gives any potentail voltage spike a path to travel rather than going through pcm's computers etc. Any spike will pop a park light globe and this will prevent damage to the car... ←

3 years. probably due for a battery. most repco stores will do a free battery test. you will have to remove the battery from the car at most stores,so you cant claim thier battery tester blew up your computer or loaptop or auto trans ect...... I think 400 amp leads are the way to go.it does make a differance.200 in a pinch. I think its a better idea to get you battery checked or replaced. most batteries fail in winter or the first lot of cold weather if they are on the way out.

just get the biggest amp rating you can afford.anti zap cant hurt, but I dont think esential. the amp rating does effect performace(of the leads not the car) small leads may struggle to turn over a big motor like the t
  11. why would you pull out the deck to do that? what you should do is run a hi-lo converter from one of the speaker wires. I also have a ba ute and I used one of the rear speaker chanels to do this, but I think it works better if you use 2 chanels(twice the signal)maybe. do you have prestige sound with the tweeters or only 4 speakers.
  12. drive to melbourne and ill give you a hand any luck yet? are you sure you got all the screws out?
  13. UU is blueprint blue. This is the only color code you need!
  14. did you get the screw at the top? once all the screws are out, grab hold of the unit and wiggle it left and right and it will come out.all yhe connections are on the one plug which stays behind.grab hold of the unit on the side, not the top and bottom.
  15. talk to simon about it.it sounds more like a tuning problem.speak to him before he finishes your next tune so he can address this issue.

$6000-$10000 estamate only. why just engine or front cut?do you need trans?
  17. where do you get your info??? how do you know?? what are the few codes?? need specifics... if its just hear say its not worth typing ← I agree. I would be honest with them and tell them you dont want you car reflashed.has anyone thought about putting a seal on the OBD2 port to stop them plugging in.maybe you could attach a small not saying to call you before removing, because usually the person you speak to(service advisor/salesman) is not the person working on the car(mechanic/technitian).

I gapped mine to 0.8. no problems after that. it may depend on your mods,do you have any? just edited?
  19. is the EA noisy all the time or just for a few seconds on start up?
  20. I think the unmarked grey oil filter fitted to the ba's from the factory are AC Delco items. exact same shape and dimensions.its not a motorcraft that's for sure.how can ford reject a claim because of an oil filter when they dont even fit what they sell. I have always fitted motorcraft filters to my T. however I would have no problems in fitting a Ryco or K&N oil filter to my car. getting back to the question I agree with the others, look for the anti drain back valve on the box.aviod $2 filters. I use expensive oil,so why use cheap filters?
  21. kawerx replied to turbomuz's topic in Brakes
looks like hot spots.best to replace.ford only cover rotors up to 50000km.could try machining again. has anyone marked thier rotors to see if you get yours back when ford machine them? because they do so many they might rotate them with other cars to minimize time on the hoist.

hehe not in WA anymore thanks to the anti-hoon laws - "Speed, acceleration, braking or steering capability is being tested or contested in any way; " http://www.policespeedcameras.info/laws_wa.html#hoons Im sure if you accelerate rapidly they will say you are attempting to test the cars speed - that's assuming you have failed the attitude test and the cop is one of the few genuine 'tosser' cops out there.. Gee that's' harsh, won't be moving to WA soon then! I know in vic that as long as you don't spin the wheels or a squeal then you can get to the speed limit as fast as you like! Chooka I got busted in vic for "accelerating making undue noise" a few years back.
  24. I saw skaife crash but not much after that.what did he say hapend?
