  5. I agree with wrong offset. Check the back of the spokes inside the wheel. For memory I think Falcons are 35-38 offset. Sounds like you have 40 or more.
  6. Make that 6 and I agree that Sundays are better. I haven't been out to the Cotter so that sounds good.
  7. I've had the T for nearly 4 years and 32000km. Overall average is 12.6. Worst figure 16.5, best 9.9. Around town in Canberra I'm between 13.1 and 13.6 and that's trying all 3 edit tunes and factory. 80% of my driving I'm very easy on the throttle.
  8. Thanks f-wolf but I'll give ACT Brakes Mitchell a miss. I rang them a few weeks ago about removing my original rear rotors as I couldn't get them off but all he could do was criticise people who buy brake kits to fit themselves and even thrust his opinion that the PBR kit was not that good. I might give the Belconnen shop a go if PBR can't give me anything.
  9. I made mention of this in another post but thought I would give it it's own thread. I have fitted the PBR premium brake kit but I can't get it past ACT rego inspection because as far as they are concerned it is not ADR compliant. I showed them an email from PBR stating they are the same as BA FPVs and comply but that was not enough. Unfortunately PBR are closed up for the holidays but I am hoping they can fax me a certificate or something that proves their kit is ADR compliant next month. Meanwhile my T is grounded. Has anyone else had this problem with inspectors before and if so how did you get around it? Muz
  10. Can't argue with your choice Laner they are a top little car. My missus has a 6 MPS with the same 2.3 l turbo and it flies. I can only take her from a standing start if I'm ready for it otherwise I won't catch her until well past 120km/h. The rolling start acceleration of the MPS cars is phenomenal. As fast as an F6 auto (wheels Dec 05), beats an Audi RS4 in 4th and 5th and the V8 M3 in 3rd,4th and 5th. They should not be underestimated.
  11. Inspection date is the morning of 15 Jan (Tues) so I will need them from Mon arvo to Tues arvo. I'll need four wheels otherwise they won't match and will look dodgy. Iconic I can't use the spare cause it's a 17" and the others are 19". I must get it done by ACT rego because they need to verify the ADR compliance of my newly fitted PBR brake kit. aaronm they will be smoked in good time but not just yet. I also prefer to have 4 tyres of same age / type on the car. Muz
  12. Putting my car over the pits for rego inspection recently it seems that the inside edge on one of the fronts is slightly under 1.5mm and they want it replaced. The rest of the tyre and the other three still have about 50% tread left so I am reluctant to change the whole set and don't want to mix up new / used tyres. Can anyone in Canberra lend me a set that they may have stashed in the garage or swap with my wheels for the day so I can get through the inspection? Muz
  13. Just fitted my kit on last week and all is good.....but. Tried to transfer from NSW to ACT rego today and scored a fail at the inspection because the "modification" to the brakes has no details of ADR compliance. I explained that they were original fit on BA FPV's and showed a letter from PBR stating they complied but that was not good enough for them. They want a certificate that shows ADR compliance. I tried PBR again but it looks like they are off on holidays. So now my T will sit unregistered in the garage for the next few weeks till I can sort this crap out. Has anyone else had problems proving ADR compliance to vehicle inspectors?
  14. Years ago I had an LTD with a LSD that had a very similar problem which was caused by me replacing the diff oil with the wrong grade. Once the right stuff was put in it was fine. Noting that the T needs a different grade oil to N/A Falcons plus an additive (Styroco or something) you might want to have a look at that. Muz
