  2. wont be long now and we will be saying RIP to another 5 speed now you have to ask yourself, do I sell it now and upgrade to a mk2 or just buy a T56 and keep the car???? that's the question
  3. ive used 2 tank fulls of v power now, I did notice that you get less soot on the rear bar of the car compared to what optimax did, but other than that its pretty simular. I got the same amount of k's on the tank as I did with optisoot and she isnt pinging so its all good. ill be using it from now on.
  4. there are easier ways to remove the whine, but it would mean throwing out the ford product booster kit and replacing it with one that boosts the signal and removes the whine.
  5. is that the std 1/4 time for a F430?? im sure it would have won if a real driver was behind the wheel
  6. Thanks for the feed back guys, I only designed the thing because I was sick of getting a head ache every time I used the aux input while driving because of the whine Can I be called a Doctor now for fixing headaches all over the country??

I was told it had something to do with the amount of hours it was taking FPR to keep the car track ready. and at $150 per hour ford didnt want to keep coughing up the $'s after all the hype settled down
  8. I need to change my status to 50/50. the ball and chain isnt too keen on the weather, I need to wait until the morning to make the final call though. have fun everyone if I dont make it

I didnt even notice that you removed the badges untill you just pointed it out zap, and on second look at the pics of your car, it makes it look like the cop cars from robocop at the back to me or have I just had too much to drink tonight

that's true, mine was so expensive because there was alot of damage that you couldn't see (like how the exhaust was pushed in by 5cm). The car that hit me was written off as well, too bad it want an astra, that would have evened up the score for zap
  11. the box I have is a all in one self contained box, the only thing you need with it is the ipod etc. to plug into the box. the headrests are a custom job using the same FPV leather, the front of the head rest is factory but the back has been built up to sit the screen into it while still having a leather edge on it. I had ALOT of hassles getting someone to do the screens because the falcon headrests are very well rounded at the back and the 7" screens just simply dont fit without modifing the head rest.

I dont think so Jet. mine cost the insurance co. over $10,000 and have a look at it
  13. to answer if you need to boost the aux signal, then the answer is probably. at best you will have to run the volume higher than you do for the radio or CD player to get the same level out of the system. at worst you will have to run the volume at 30+ to hear anything at all when your on the freeway at 100km/h. Obviously the more you turn up the aux input the more whine you will get, that's why I designed a cct that removes the whine and boosts the audio level. as for the screens, you wont need to run a video booster. I was going to run one in my car, but during testing I blew it up so I went ahead and just pluged it in without any video booster and she looks great click here to see a pic of my head rest screens.
  14. the guys in vermont ford gave me the part number twice. once when I wanted a hose and the other time when someone told me that you couldnt buy the hose seperate. I dont have it written down anymore, but just give the guys in the vermont dealership a call and see for yourself. Just tell them its the short hose that goes from the fuel pump housing to the top of the fuel pump. oh and there are 2 part numbers, one for the high pressure side and one for the return. the high pressure side is $29 retail.
  15. yeah I know, that's why I was asking for feedback on a warranty claim on a clutch the wogs clutch is a very good option for the money but IMHO it should be fords problem and they should give him a clutch that doesnt fall apart in 5000 k's.
  16. I wouldnt say the guy is hard on clutches, he only got me to take his car for a drive after telling me his clutch was and told me that he has never pushed his car as hard on a take off as I did and he was more than a little worried at the amount of smoke I was able to produce in under 2 minutes of testing
  17. it doesnt slip all the time. when I drove it she really didnt like grabbing after a hard ish 1st to 2nd change. It also died (smoked up) when I tried to ride a quick take off like I do in my car to avoid wheel spin. this is why im telling him to go for a phoon clutch, my car would have around 100RWKWs more than his with a tune that's known for frying clutchs and I havent ever had a problem with riding the clutch alittle on a hard take off.
  18. I have a friend who has a unmodified T which has a clutch and he hasnt even taken it in for the 15K service yet has anyone needed to claim waranty on a T56 clutch before and how much hassle was it to get ford to replace it? My mate tells me that he just wants to get an after market clutch because the stockie failed so early but im telling him that this is Fords problem and they should be the ones fixing it. has anyone talked to a dealer about putting in a phoon clutch into a XR before???
  19. a linux boot disc will solve your problems. it doenst suffer from the same windows "security" issues that you are experiencing. just do a search for linux boot disk on google and you will figure it out.

who cares about an extra 20kw's at the fly wheel when a basic edit will give you far more than that straight out of the box?? then you spend the extra $500 on a custom tune and you will wonder why you ever cared at all about the new model having 20kws more and just to keep the thread on topic, I cant see them bumping the power up again for the XR6T when they have just done in for the BF. the F6 is due though.
  21. there sure is, if I was at work right now id get the reciept and give you the part number
  22. I didnt take a photo of mine the last time it was out but I can tell you that the hose was around 5 - 6cm long. Its so short its a real to get into place because the hose has no flex left in it. the reason I did this was in my first attempt I had the hose too long and it kinked when under full pressure resulting in a massive lean out that happend every time the engine hit max boost If I was you I would buy a new intank hose from Ford on monday when you get the seal. there only $26 and could save you a new engine from lack of fuel through a kinked hose
  23. what happens to the hose when you compress the housing the whole way? from memory the tank is 182mm deep so just have a look at what happens when you compress the pump to that hight. as for the seal, it probably fell of into the tank when you took the pump out. I would just goto ford and get a new seal because they are only a once or twice kind of use seal anyway. a new seal should cost you $16 from ford spare parts.
  24. the tree that the back end of the car is wrapped around is not the first tree that the car hit, the car was cut in two pieces by another tree and those photos are just from where the ass end of the car ended up.
  25. its due to the pump housing not sealing to the tank correctly. did you put the rubber seal back in before you put the pump back in?? did you replace the std fuel hose intank with a piece of your own hose or did you reuse the factory hose? if you used a non factory hose you may have it too long and then the tank wont seal even with the rubber gasket in place. once you think you have it in correctly, run your fingers around the edge of the tank housing and see if there are any gaps. if not then try to fill the tank and hope for the best I would strongly recommend that you try filling the tank with the back seat out so you can see if the seal is going to hold or not before you waste 1/2 a tank of fuel. hope this helps
