  4. Since when was CO2 a deadly toxic man-made poison that earth was choking on anyway. Last time I checked it was naturally occuring and trees, grasses etc required it to live, and actually thrive on it when there's even more around. Damn tree huggers and Al Goreans. I agree about the whole trying to control pollution in general, and all the other actually noxious emmissions but picking on CO2 as the bad guy in the whole environmental issue is like blaming speed for every single road death and only targetting it. It's just like the Y2K millenium bug, some smartarses and dipsh!ts sold the idea with scare mongering, then profited hugely in the panick when about 5/8 of fark all would've actually gone wrong. As for the ETS, the amount of difference Australia will make in the CO2 levels as a result of it is hardly even measurable, but the economic difference it will make to Australia is going to be a little bit different. That's what happens when you put a geek into power, they get all moist and excited on the power trip.
  5. Hmmm.... that wouldn't be through Heifer Creek would it? Tempting to pop my cruise cherry...
  6. If you're in QLD (in particular close to Warwick) these guys Shelleys Industries are pretty well known, particularly around the southern downs. A typical steel tray would set you back around the $3000 mark I believe. We've gotten a few trays done there over the years, the old man recently got one on his FG ute and it looks sh!t hot, no pics of it sorry. Looks a hell of a lot better and tougher than any aluminium/alloy tray ever would. They're happy to customize it as much as you want too. From other prices I've seen around Brissy from other mobs they're all around that $3k mark for steel. Damn price of steel going up! Even if you're not in QLD it would be worth a phone call to them anyway just to find out more info on steel trays.

1981 is a bit harsh... Rudd's glasses surely put him into at least the early 90's? But yeah, no real point getting too wound up, he's just some keyboard warrior trolling for reactions.
  8. A more important question is why were you getting food from Miss India and not Grand Taj... But yeah as far as I knew purple was for DOT. Might've also been a council ranger/parking inpsector dude?
  9. With those quals, what about a forensic DNA technician/scientist at the Perth equivalent of here Forensic and Scientific Services: Forensic Sciences Could be a cushy government position with the typical perks, but need to have the mettle to handle some of the nasty cases and evidence.
  10. LOL @ #13812... Dag's avatar is staring perfectly

  15. As usual the media has gotten on their high horse and blown something a little controversial way out of proportion, then carried it as far as they could go with it. Bike Boy was the better act anyway.
  16. Yeah paintless dent removal is worth every penny. As long as the damage doesn't need a respray, could be some good deals to be made. Sux to be the dealer though. It's such a gut wrenching sickening feeling to be driving in the hail and have no where to hide, and have to hear the thud thud thud of golf ball sized hail hammering your baby.
  17. Yeah but for the government it's easier, cheaper and actually more profitable to punish with legislation that to prevent with training. It's a very anal ruling that looks like a cash grab, but it's also scary the amount of people that rely on and stare at and fiddle with their GPS instead of the road. It's fair enough if driving in an area you have no idea about, but I know people that have theirs on all the time even going to and from work, and they're usually mounted right above the dash in the middle of the view, fark knows how they can see the road. It's like they're the cool gimmicky in thing to have. A lot like iPhones, iPods, and a lot of the other iWank products. People need to learn to just to keep their hands off it and drive.

I swear KFC burgers are shrinking too, that or I'm just becoming lard arse.
  19. Better driver training would be good and all, as would stricter licence exams and maybe even retesting every 5 or 10 years. But at the end of the day you can't train driver attentiveness, or train against being distracted or blase. All the training in the world won't stop deadsh1ts from being deadsh1ts and doing the things that they should know better not to do because they lack basic common sense. Trouble is that means pain in the arse laws like this have to be brought in to punish the general population in order to account for the lowest common denominator, thus in turn dumbing down the whole population because we no longer have to think for ourselves as we're told exactly everything we must or must not do by our "we know best" politicians.
  20. Yeah saw Muse at the riverstage few years ago, was tops. Muse + live = The Mars Volta + live = (altho I would've prefered At The Drive In)
  21. LOL @ "government" and "making sense"... now there's an oxymoron
  22. Got no problem with mine, but I can kind of make out what you mean in the picture. Might be some inconsistancy with the backlighting illuminating the screen if the both the grey background and the black text vary in gradient? Ignoring the contrast and brightness settings, if you change the dimming up and down does it get any better or worse? I also never realised that the clock looks purple, could be my colour blindness though...

Maybe she was just in the mood for an extra bit of stuffed crust.....
  24. Haha, unless you can drive from Sydney to there and back in a day the Sydney-centric tv people don't give a rats. QLD is like a whole nother country to them. It's building up even here in Brissy now. If it gets any thicker it's time to organise a posse and start looting.
  25. Haha, take that puppy out to the drags at Carnell and see what times you can post
