  1. KABOOM!
  2. Has anyone ever seen a tune selector switch like seen on the earlier falcons for these later ones?
  3. Haven't heard of burst pipe, occasionally hear of blown hose off the pipe due to bad clamps etc. if your making a million killawaps you've probably replaced the stock pipe anyway
  4. I personally would never drive a car without a cat again. It stinks & if the cops catch you it's big dollars
  5. Dont touch the exhaust. You'll go backwardds. I assume you've already got the plenum done? Only thing I can suggest is fitting a voltage booster to the coils & opening the plug gap back up. Maybe port the wastegate too, the ecu will be able to regulate the boost at speed a little better
  6. Actually, if I can hijack for a moment, running a bigger pressure (spring) and you want to drive around like a sane person 99% of the time, how does this effect the overall drivability of the car? And how does it relate to how the boost controller map is set? I assume that the map needs to be changed as to not make the turbo spool like crazy when your not pushing (or become too knife edge between wanting to spool up at inopertune times)
  7. winning
  8. What sort of cat sizes are you running with those? I have seen 5" used but the more common is 3.5. over that too big?
  9. Oh jesus
  10. I always see people upgrade their dump & cat to a 4 & 3.5 system. But no one ever says what brand they get, just wondering what brands people run?
  11. hrm, I posted that in the thread about ute racing??? interesting
  12. Ok, I'll clarify, my appologise. The sort of power your making with such little mods almost seems a little irresponsible. Those ratio's do seem a little lean for my liking. There is a difference between making that power in a controlled way & also having a bit up your sleave for the unknown conditions (eg, overboost, fuel surge, etc) I love the fact that your doing this yourself, I think going too far away from the known formula to get these gains (add fuel, remove restriction, add boost) If nothing else, I'd be doing something re fuel sys upgrade, however small, just to give yourself a buffer
  13. My thoughts? either kill the class off OR open the class to all models from the early 90's through today with modern engines retofitted as well as the partity controls they are now subject to. That would make for interesting racing
  14. dafaq is dat? Put in to stop overspeed or something?
  15. The stock huffers on the FG's are a little small, big power to be had on the engine still unopened though
  16. I've done a bit of a search but can't find anything regarding using an eliminator switch on a b series. Anyone had any luck?
  17. Go to your local strut mob & see if you can get a re gas, maybe a bit more pressure. If not, a thicker cylinder

    So much like
  19. The Barra turbo motors respond really well to a few thousand in mods. I don't think doing any of this on the cheap is really well advised. may as well spend a few more dollars & reap the benifits with the safety. Just my opinion, I know others will disagree
  20. The compressor wheels have the tendancy of flying apart at those kind of figures. Chancing a lot of bits flying through the whole system
  21. Sorry, meant airbox
  22. Stock turbo? Holy crap, I'd be replacing it well before it lets go or you'll be replacing the engine too
  23. Thinking a pump upgrade & a new injector set would be prudent. And 380 is probably a bit of a iffy number. input shaft's & valve springs might start flying apart. Tis a top car though. btw, do you know the brand of intake you've got?
  24. Stock battery in that or an odyessy unit?
  25. I strongly disagree with that. I've been in a ke that had a boost leak, had the boost wound back, holes in the manifold, the worst most putrid fuel you've ever seen, a half blocked fuel filter & f me that thing was quick for 212 wheel kw
